Hypnotized? No. Mesmerized.
This album was a huge part of my childhood. I grew up hearing SOAD on the radio, then watching their videos on YouTube—now I finally have it on vinyl. My boyfriend and I love it! ♥️

Fair deal
Product arrived quick in decent packaging (bubble insulated package) plastic wrapped, proper CD everything there. Only minor complaints was the corners being a bit squished and warn (CD case is a soy paper not plastic) kind of a downfall for "brand new". And the "Parental Advisory" is not a sticker but is actually printed on the case, I don't blame the seller, but I was hoping for a clean case; as I was going to put this and Hypnotize together on a display self...Not the most attractive item to use for display when there is a blunt white sticker on a black background. I have two copies of Hypnotize, unedited and the sticker was on the plastic when i opened them, so the front of cases artwork is unaltered; I figured this would be the same... anyways no biggie if you don't care for a perfectO case as I do.

My sweet revenge, will be yours, for the taking, it's in the making...
Everybody's going to the party, have a real good time. Well, you will have a good time listening to 'Mesmerize'. 'Toxicity' pushed SOAD's unique combo of thrash combined with classical movement and injected with Serj's Bowie-like, off key, sexy vocals, and 'Mesmerize' brings back the full impact of SOAD's talent. 'Steal This Album' was a tiny bit disappointing, with the exception of 'Streamline', but 'Mesmerize' brings back the fun, the talent, the uniqueness, and the power of SOAD, along with their poignant and truthful political messages. 'Violent Por***raphy' points out how far our society has slipped when 'choking chicks and sodomy' have become par for the course in amorous behavior, even on television. 'BYOB' is one of the finest musical romps I have had in a very long time, with amazing "railroad" guitar riffs and lyrics that poke at GWB's asinine war policy. 'Revenga' is one of the catchier tunes, one that I find myself humming through the hallways at work after having project proposals turned down. 'Sad Statue' is a poignant message that our symbol of liberty in New York has become a sad remembrance of something America lost along the way. 'Radio/video' is a thrash/mellow combo with some definite fun attached to it. Smiles and happy fingers accompany this tune. So many changes to the beat and the music that the entire song is a surprise every time you hear it. 'Cigaro' has a bit of phallic humor in it, 'This Cocaine...' thrashingly claims that there's nothing wrong with me, but there is something wrong with you. 'Question' starts out rather mellow, but develops some amazing riffs and thunder to complete it. Electronica is brought into play with 'Old School Hollywood', and lyrically makes fun of the washed-out stars who still believe they deserve the "above thou" treatment, without sacrificing the amazing, changing thrash and riffs that make SOAD so special. 'Lost In Hollywood' again makes fun of, what I like to call, the City Of The Damned. 'Mesmerize' is equal to, and in places even better, than 'Toxicity'. Clearly SOAD have developed their talents without sacrificing what makes them unique. If you are leery of buying 'Mesmerize' because of the poorer quality of 'Steal This Album', stop worrying and run out and buy it. If you loved 'Toxicity', you are going to love 'Mesmerize'. Absolutely amazing rock! Favorite songs are 'Revenga', 'BYOB', 'Violent Por***raphy', and 'Radio/Video'. Enjoy!
