dogPACER MiniPACER Treadmill

This is great - my Italian greyhound LOVES it! Took to it very quickly (treats as incentive helped), now we're just solidifying behavior while on it. Set up is pretty easy. The company was WONDERFUL about a problem with the first one I received - tried to talk me through a fix at home (it was squeaking a bit) but then quickly accepted a return for an exchange (be sure to keep the box!). Second one I received was in perfect condition. I suggest getting a mat for underneath (I used same one I bought for under my stationary bicycle).

This product works as expected... I'm mentally rating it 4 stars based on that, but b/c I can't fault the actual product, I'm rating it 5 stars for the averaage. However, in retrospect... this is kind of a silly purchase for like 99% of buyers, b/c if you're like me, you probably want(ed) to buy this b/c you want to have an option to better tire out your super high-energy dog breed. However, the reality is that you should probably look to not just taking them for walks, but try going to an open dog park area and try playing games of fetch or something so they tire out better. The problem with using walks/jogs to tire out a dog is that they tire out more efficiently when they're sprinting full bore. You can get them to do that in an open park... so just do that. What I learned from this treadmill is that it's VERY HARD to get them to use it effectively to the point where it tires them out and if you're not careful, you'll get what happened to me the last time I used mine... your dog can get so exerted that they literally relieve themselves while on the thing. I tried to push my dog to get to higher speed so that he'd run at a pace that could actually tire him out and he was so uncomfortable with it that he pooped on the treadmill. Needless to say, I haven't used it since. This isn't strictly an issue with the treadmill, however. It's just a point of reflection for me that this product is probably for a very specific type of dog. In reality, your dog is likely NOT that type of dog... you, like me, are probably just being lazy...

I got this treadmill for my year old Border Terrier, who I had to admit I wasn't able to exercise enough to keep calm (a tired dog is a good dog). I was hoping to avoid having a large piece of equipment in my living room and it's not inexpensive. But she loves it and took to it right away (I was lucky, I think). The speed varies from 0.5mph (slow as a turtle) to 7.5mph (pretty fast!). The unit was easy to assemble and seems very solid. I've had it for several weeks, my dog uses it for 20-40 minutes daily. While she's running, I'll do yoga or stretches, if I left she might hop off too. I'm very happy with it. The only thing I wish was different was that I wish it could be stood against the wall when not in use.

This treadmill works very well; however the side guards are flimsy and unreliable. The treadmill is very, very quiet and works beautifully. I have been using it for over a year now. I have two dogs, one small and one medium. I recommend viewing the You Tube video on how to train the dog on it. My small one took to it immediately but the medium one took more time. Even now he is likely to jump off while it's moving so I bought a freestanding hinged gate and that solved the problem. Both of my dogs walk from 30 minutes to an hour each day. This is a great product to supplement outdoor exercise time and to control weight issues; especially in smaller breads. Great product!

I received my treadmilll for my furkids yesterday. Didn't even read instructions but put together in less than 20 minutes. Easy! It just took me a minute to figure out what the two pins with circles on them were for. They lock the bottom bar that raises into place. I bought this to help me with my two larger Lhasa Apso mixes that are lazy and overweight. After setting it up I just let it sit in the living room overnight so the dogs all got used to it being in the house. I just played with the buttons to get some beeps so they could all hear the new noise, no problem. Then today I bribed my male Lhasa to walk up on it with a treat. Because he will do almost anything to get a treat this was way too easy. Because he looked completely comfortable on the treadmill I took a chance and turned it on the lowest speed. I kept the treats just out of reach but close enough for him to smell them. Within the first minute I turned up the speed and he was absolutely great with walking on it. Needless to say I was very surprised and he is a pro already on his very first try! My female Lhasa is going to take a little bit more coaxing as she is very timid of anything new but she did get on it without problem. I will try her again tomorrow. I have a total of 4 furkids and the littlest is a Lhasa Apso/Shih Tzu. She doesn't need the extra workout but she already loves getting on it and was walking the first time also. The fourth dog is a Pit Bull and he weighs too much for the mini treadmill I purchased but he wants on it also. With 4 dogs to try and walk enough I haven't been able to keep up. The two Lhasa's were rescue dogs and don't know how to play normally. We think they were caged as breeders. Any way the treadmill will be great for getting them the much needed walking they both need. Bottom line I am extremely happy with this treadmill!!! It is quiet and even the beeps aren't loud at all. I would recommend this treadmilll to anyone who needs help in getting their furkids more active. Very easy to set up....Quiet and the size is perfect for small spaces....I can move it easy enough... Dogs seem to be very happy with it also! I debated a long time before making this purchase and now am sorry I waited so long.

** Uploaded a new video - leash free and running at a good pace :) a few months in and still really think its a solid investment! ** We purchased this treadmill for our 7 year old Pomsky who's carrying a bit of extra weight (through no fault of her own :)....). We live in AZ which is insanely hot in the summer which makes it pretty difficult to get good walks in. Set up was easy, the overall weight of the equipment is totally manageable between two people getting it upstairs and switching rooms etc. Functionally, works great so far, super straightforward, does the job. I wouldn't say she loves it, but she doesn't not love it :). She about 35 pounds and I would call her a medium/small dog. We have 3 other Pomsky's, 2 a tad larger that definitely wouldn't fit. So I would say if you're considering this, its definitely for a small to small medium size pup.

My dog and I love this treadmill! Since I'm disabled and not able to walk her outside and family can only come once in awhile to walk my dog, this treadmill has been a blessing to keep my dog in shape and healthy. The treadmill was easy to put together. I was able to train my dog in one day to use the treadmill while on the leash and by the second day she was off leash walking on her own! She now looks forward to her daily walks! The treadmill is of great quality and I know we're going to continue to get a lot of use out of it. :)

Disappointing customer service. I've emailed them multiple times and called them twice, and they have been slow to respond and have only provided limited support (I experienced belt issues immediately after setting up the treadmill). Also, the warranty is limited for AK purchases, which isn't mentioned on the amazon site. While it's a nice treadmill, my next purchase will be from a different company that provides better customer service.
