I bought this for my 15 month old for our flight home from Hawaii. It was a good 15 minute distraction, she was able to hold the marker and scribble, but was more interested in putting the cap on and off than citing. Still a few months too young for it, but saving it for our February flight. The product itself was great and I am confident would loved by ages 2-6. color and marker quality were very good. Nice bright colors and fun secret images to uncover. The compact size makes it perfect for travel. Comes with lots of pages. The marker "holder" is a stretch, but if you don't open the cardboard all the way maybe. We found they both fit nicely in our crayola color wonders travel desk which I also recommend.

This is a great on the go activity. Mess free coloring. Great gift and value. Highly recommend

My kids love these for passing time on a car trip and at home. They are good for all ages because of the magic marker!

This is meant to be a Christmas stocking stuffer for my 2.5yo daughter, so my opinion may change, but so far I really like this. The pages look to be the perfect size for little hands to turn and hold down while coloring, the packaging/outer part of the coloring book is bright, colorful and fun looking and the paper is decent quality to the touch. It is a tiny bit big for the very conventional sized stockings we have, but I hold out hope that I'll be able to either bend it just a bit to fit it in, or find a way to hang it on the stocking itself. Considering my daughter's love for "Ponies" I don't think this will disappoint her at all.

I got this as a stocking stuffer for my 3 year old daughter at Christmas. She loves this book. The only problem is that she loved it so much that she "colored" the whole book in a couple of days. I like that the marker doesn't get on my daughter, or her clothes, or the carpet! I think for a 3 year old it is good because it makes them feel good about themselves being able to color a picture and "stay in the lines". I don't think an older child would like it. One of the drawbacks for older kids is that the pen just activates the colors that are already on the pages. So they can't be creative and pick which colors they want to use. Overall, I think it was good for my daughter.

I originally purchased this book in an airport store when my flight with my children was very delayed and we were looking for ways to entertain ourselves. My 4yo was happily busy with this book for at least a solid hour, and it was such a great help to me. We misplaced the book at home, and she's been asking for it again ever since. When I saw it on Amazon, I knew what I had to do! The wonder of "magic ink" is very entertaining for a young child, and it's nice that it's an activity where the child (not the parent) makes the cool stuff happen.

My 3.5 yr old can happily color in this book for over a half hour. We've used them during long drives, shopping, waiting for a flight, and at restaurants. We also purchased the Disney princess book, Hello Kitty, and Frozen. All have cute pictures. She loves finding the hidden items and usually colors the entire page before moving on. Two complaints. The marker dries out quickly (but I'll try the baby oil trick mentioned in another review). Prior to that, it soaks through to the next page and reveals colors there. I cut out a piece of cereal box to tuck between the pages. Both of these issues are minor in light of the fun and usefulness of this book.

My daughter loves these magic marker surprise books. She calls them surprise b/c you never know which color will come out until you color with the white magic pen. She's enjoying it very much which makes me happy. Although, I will say I thought it was quite expensive for a small book. I paid $7 I guess it's the little pony theme I'm paying for. I had purchased one at our local store for less than $3. If price comes down I will order again.
