HFZG550YWS - Flexzilla SwivelGrip Garden Hose

Works great! Very flexible, lightweight, doesn’t kink easily at all, and easily pulled to where you need it. Doesn’t tangle on the 50ft version but the 100ft easily tangles up. I’d suggest getting 2 50ft hose if you need 100ft occasionally. This has become the perfect hose setup for us.

This is the best hose we have ever had -- lightweight, flexible, nice swivel design at faucet, doesn't kink up, withstands sun. Easy to coil, etc. Many colors and lengths to choose. Good fittings. What more could you want? We have several.

Love this hose! But it does kink easily. Easy to unkink. Easy to drag around and use. Seems very durable.

I picked up the hose in Forest Green to handle watering my new yard after moving into my house, and overall, it’s been pretty solid. The build quality feels really good — the hose is thick and sturdy, so I don’t worry about it bursting or getting damaged easily. The color is nice too; the forest green blends in well with the lawn and garden, which I actually like better than bright, flashy hoses. That said, I have noticed it gets kinks here and there, which can be a bit annoying when I’m trying to water evenly. It’s not terrible and nothing too crazy, but it does happen enough that I have to spend a little extra time untangling or straightening it out. It’s not super stiff, so it moves around fairly easily, but those occasional kinks are the main drawback. The length is just right for my yard, and the GHT fittings make it easy to connect to my existing setup without any leaks. I also appreciate that it feels flexible enough to maneuver around plants and garden beds without too much effort. Overall, I’d give this hose a solid 4 out of 5. It’s well built and does the job, but if you want something that’s totally kink-free, this might not be perfect. Still, for the price and quality, it’s been a reliable hose that’s made watering my new garden much easier.

This is our 3rd Flexzilla. The other two are still in service. The third Flexzilla has reached Garden Hose Nirvana, due in part to the SwivelGrip feature. Also in part because we installed the new 75' 5/8" Flexzilla into a Relhost, metal hose reel box with hand-crank. This pair is, in my boring life anyway, life-changing. What a joy it is to effortlessly unreel the Flexzilla, wash the cars and almost as effortlessly turn the crank and reel in the nice, soft Flexzilla. I suggest these two companies team up and each offer each other's products as package deals for Amazon customers. Very satisfying.

I bought this with high hopes of it being "kink-free". What a complete joke. I planned on putting this on a hose rell, so I asked Amazon's in-house AI (Rufus I think it's called) if this particular Flexzilla hose (with a Swivel-Grip) would fit on a hose reel, to which it replied that yes it would fit, and not only would it fit, but several customer's reviews said it worked well on hose rells. Awesome, so I bought it. Well, before I even took it out of the box, what did I see?....a kink where the hose came off the Swivel-Grip. Hoping it would straighten out, I removed the hose from the box, attached it to my hose reel, and began to wind up the hose. I immediately notice that the hose kinks up like a folded piece of paper right where it exits the Swivel-Grip. So then, I figure maybe I just have top straighten it out. While attempting to unravel it, there seemed to be a kink every 8-10 feet. So, I think that maybe it just needs to be fully unwound and straightened to remove the kinks (it took me 10 minutes to straighten it out, mind you, thanks to all the kinks in the hose). Nope! Many every time I would un-kink an area, another one would kink up. And forget about attempting to get it back in the box it came in. The kinks make that nearly impossible. What a piece of junk.

Nice sturdy hose. It fit all of my hose attachments. Nice color that blended with my yard.

As if Flexilla could make a better hose than they already did -- At first I thought they had skimped and cheaped out on my most recent hose purchase. The hose seemed flimsy and light weight. I love that these hoses are light weight, but this one seemed even lighter. I couldn't imagine it would be any good. But I used it. WOW! The rather flat hose plumps up with water in it, and is still very light weight. But the really great news is that once the water is turned off, the hose flattens just a bit and that makes it marvelously easy to coil without kinking and wrestling with it. I thought they couldn't improve on a good thing. But they did. Now, as much as I love my older Flexilla hoses, I sort of want to buy all new ones. If you need a fabulous, light weight hose with very minimal kinking issues (yes ALL hoses kink if they are man-handled) -- buy this brand. I bought the ⅝" 50' hose.

Flible, doesn't link, no fold memory, excellent fittings on each end, this is the Cadillac of hoses, i have the air hose too for years, excellent and made in the USA too. Impressed!

It’s a decent hose, but waaaay too expensive for what it is.

The hose will not easily kink but it has memory and wants to coil and not lay flat. It's ok if left in the hot sun but when cool or worse still if it's cold it is hard to coil on a hose rack.
