I have had issues with alarm keypads that I have already replaced . The Keypad can be $150 . Buttons started failing. I would have to press really hard to get it to work. Eventually they started all failing. I changed the alarm code to skip the failing buttons. When the time came to put codes and buttons didnt work the alarm would go off. Frustrating!! - I opened the keypad, cleaned it thoroughly, circuit board was clean and rubber pad perfectly aligned. STILL Didnt work!!! I ordered this product , followed instructions, peeled the sticker placed it over every button on the keypal, Assembled it and - BOOM - It worked to Perfection. Should only contact when pressed.** A: They are a bubble thing and the glue part does not conduct or close the contacts on the circuit board. The contact is made only when the bubble black thing which does conduct is pushed by you pushing the button you want on your remote completing the circuit board contact pads. They work very well for me. They do wear out and quit working just like the original ones did but last a long time. I have purchased them twice now to keep all my remotes working. They work good, but be careful installing them don't get the black conducting part overlapping to other contact pads on the board that are sometimes very close. (Size pad is important) If you do the results may not be what you want or may not work at all. Pick the right size to cover only the contacts you need and be careful installing and they do work. **Q: What diameters are the conductive pads?** A: Did not order that. He found a common problem and he looked for the solution. I used his product to fix (mod) my original Xbox controller the Duke controller. I changed the a button configuration from pressure sensitive ( like gas pedal the harder you push the more power it gives) to regular button (like any modern controller) when you push it you get all the power instantly.
