These are amazing. You do not have to buy any special tools. I used a soldering iron to burn the holes into my material. Regular buttons will not stay fastened on my boat while driving or trailering. I got rid of the normal snap buttons and replaced them with these. They are phenomenal. Will not ever use anything else if these will install in the area I need them. I went with normal height fasteners at first, even tho the seller tried to tell me everyone goes with the double height. I did not want any play in them. It was a mistake, you want the extra height for a little give due to shrinking/expanding due to temperatures. You do not get any slack or play with the double height twists. A++ recommendation from me. I’ve shopped around, this is also the best priced ones out there. Very durable and work great. I’ve had these same ones installed for almost 2 years. Spend the extra money to go with this instead of snap buttons. You have my word you won’t regret it!!

Snap Buttons are good, but if your looking for a secure connection for canvas or heavy plastic curtain, then the Murphy Fastener, with the TURN LOCK design, is what you need. In addition, where screw-in male part of SOME snap buttons (which is what I was looking for) employ a single screw attachment to the solid material the curtain is to hang from, the Murphy employs a TWO point attachment for screws or rivets, which gives it a more secure continued attachment to the solid material like Wood, Plastic, and other materials from which the curtain is to hang from, in my case. These Murphy Fasteners that I purchased are very sturdy, attractive, and have a secure felling of the turn lock mechanism.

The items was very easy to install only thing I did not like reading the reviews the company said they will send number six screws along with the clamps I did not receive the screws I had to go to Home Depot to purchase them

My original twist fasteners had a center screw and I always worried about them loosening up. My RV supplier was able to get some for $15.00 per 4-pack. These new fasteners have 2 mounting screws and twice the holding power. Great price and no more worries. They arrived earlier than expected. Great service.

I will be using these to fasten my skirt around the forward overhang on my fifth wheel RV. I have snaps but they can't hold up to the wind gusts where we live. I'll update this review when I get them installed. I chose to order the hole cutting tool which should be delivered soon.
