I heard you can only make enteric coating once the capsule is filled. so how can these work?

Which capsules would I need to purchase to use for essential oils . I need the enteric coated.

depends if the essential oil is acid or alkaline , if its alkaline then the enteric coated capsule will dissolve before it passes through the stomach. You will probably be ok if its neutral.

DRcaps start to disintegrate approx 50 mins after ingested. Any data on how many minutes these capsules can withstand gastric acid?

I am sorry, but I don't know the answer to your question. Since it supposedly take 2 hours to empty the stomach once something has been ingested, I assume - based on your statement about 50 minutes to the start of disintegration, that the capsule would be dissolved by the end of the 2 hours if not before. I bought them because I thought they would keep their contents safe beyond the stomach. So, I don't really know. I can't say from experience since I only used one capsule to date. If I begin using them more frequently, I will update this answer, if allowed.
