The Paper Dolls

The book has rips in it and is completely damaged

So very sweet. I teared up the first time I read it to my 3 year old and he enjoyed it too. Also inspired us to make paper dolls which he liked (and then wanted to snip like the boy in the story... I guess the message was somewhat lost on him but we can grow into the nuances of the story later... Or he can have his own favourite things about it... Ha!). We will be keeping this on our list of favourites to share with friends. I also appreciated that it was different from most of Julia donaldson's books. This is more prose with a repeating rhyme every few pages. I enjoy her other books but it just made for a nice change.

I purchased this book for my 18 month old daughter back in June. It is one of her favourite books that she will pick to read. We both get a lot of enjoyment from reading the book. When I say to her to pick a book to read, she will always run over and bring back this one. She absolutely loves the story and will sit on my lap captivated by the whole thing. It is such a lovely story too - highly recommend. It is one of our favourite books.

I bought this book for 4yr old daughter, she loved it and so did I. It's a simple story, it repeats itself, so perfect for young ears, but it has a deeper message for adults and that pulled at my heart strings. It's unassuming, but one of those books that will make appearances at the right times.

Il libro è arrivato nei tempi indicati in buone condizioni. Il libro è abbastanza grande, il che rende davvero piacevole guardare le immagini coi bambini. La storia è un pò lunga per dei bimbi età Nido, sui 3 anni è più indicato. Si tratta di una storia lunga 1/2 frasi per circa 15 pagine. Alla fine si parla del "giardino della memoria" dove vivono tutte le cose belle che abbiamo visto o che si sono perdute (i fuochi d'artificio, la nonna, le spille, e tante altre cose). L'inglese è semplice e facilmente comprensibile/traducibile. Lo consiglio!
