Great chairs for seniors.
Love the chairs. Friends had these and we sat in them. What a game changer. Sturdy, higher seat for seniors. Comfortable. Easy to get in and out of. They are heavy to carry but worth it.

Fabulous Chair for Regular and Big Guys!!!
First, I'm 6'-5" and a lil' too big around at 295 lbs! ha ha 🤣 And I've tried all kind of chairs which I had to return, because I don't like the side arm "criss X cross" bars that "cut" into and under my legs. And I've even tried chairs that have even more seat height than I needed that also cut off circulation from other well know brands (some of which lock you know who you are that starts with a "K" and ends with "o"). 😉 Where again, some of those seat heights were too tall for even me where I do have long legs (it was surprising). Anyway, this chair is nice and wide... the cup holder is super strong and can hold my 32 oz. water mug that I love. It also has LOTS of storage on the solid left arm side... so a person can see that in the latest version (as I assume I got the latest as of 9/15/23). That storage organizer is attached to the arm of the chair. So there are no crazy straps like I'd seen in older reviewer photos. Also I was hoping for a chair with a mess back, but this seems pretty cool so far... and the seat back angle if VERY good. I could slouch down and even rest my head on the back... as it has a pretty high back to it, as well! Well, like they say, "A picture is worth a thousand words". Where again on mine it clearly says 500 lbs. (where again I'd seen older reviewer photos that said 400 lbs). So maybe they've upgraded to 500 lbs. IDK 🤷🏻 The chair will also stand by itself when folded (not perfect straight up and down. It does not have a carrying strap without being put in its bag, which I did like on my older Colman Max... but I think it will be okay. Weight Wise... it's not too heavy, but it is heavy duty... and I love the solid arms for helping to get out of the chair, as I'm not getting any younger. ha ha 🤪 Also the chairs front legs go far enough out in front of it to where there is no way it would tip forward (again I'd tried a TON of chairs before this one and some of those tipped). Lastly, this is a big chair, but still my lovely and patient wife who is 5'-6" could sit in it (she was swimming width wise) but could put her head right back, too. So I hope this will helps other out there! 😇

Wow! Now this is a chair.
It's definitely NOT lightweight but it IS an amazing chair. Perfect for heavier and wider bodies. Sturdy and comfortable for my height (5'6") and I don't feel like it's hitting uncomfortably on the backs of my legs.

A good choice for me, worth the price I guess.
A great chair for any size person, made for a heavier person , it’s very comfortable even for average sized man, folds easily and appears to be well built, time will tell.

Comfort and Design With a Minor Early Seam Issue
I truly wanted to give this chair a full 5 stars because it has been a great product overall. The TIMBER RIDGE Oversized Folding Camping Chair is extremely comfortable and thoughtfully designed. I chose this chair specifically for the 500 lb weight capacity, the high back support, and the added features such as the cup holder and cooler side pocket. From the first use, it felt sturdy, supportive, and very comfortable for extended periods of sitting. It has quickly become my favorite camping and outdoor chair. Unfortunately, less than one month after purchasing the chair, I noticed that the seam in the seat area began to rip. This was disappointing to see, especially since the chair has been used lightly and exactly as intended. The issue appears to be related to the seam itself rather than any misuse. That said, I still have a very positive impression of this chair and the TIMBER RIDGE brand. I understand that manufacturing defects can occasionally happen, and I truly believe this may be an isolated issue. Everything else about the chair has exceeded my expectations, and I would absolutely continue purchasing from TIMBER RIDGE in the future. I am hopeful the company will stand behind their product and offer a replacement at no charge. If this issue is resolved, I would be more than happy to update this review to 5 stars and continue recommending this chair and brand to others. Thank you for creating such a comfortable and well made chair. I look forward to being a long term TIMBER RIDGE customer.

Best big and tall camping chair out there
As I have said a couple times, I don't usually write reviews but I had to put a lot of work in to find the right chair for my wife and I. I'm a big guy, 6'7" 305lbs and when my wife asked me to get a couple of these for going to our R/C Flight club or down to the river, I knew I had my work cut out for me. She wanted to get these $34 cooler chairs and while those are nice, they're not super sturdy at the best of times, especially not with someone my size sitting in them. I did some research and after going through several "heavy duty" chairs and trying a bunch at the local stores, we decided to get a set of these. They showed up and after unboxing, they were in a really nice storage bag. Not one of those super thin ones either. It's got some kind of lining on the inside material or so it looked to me. Nice and durable. Set up is easy, just unfold and have a seat! The blue version from the company comes with a nice bag for your magazine or phone, and a swing out cup holder (the black did not, important to note...it was $10 cheaper). The metal is nicely coated tube design and very firm feeling. Not that flimsy aluminum stuff, this is a steel frame chair. Material feels thick and sturdy, something that is going to hold up pretty well with some simple care. The arms are a solid tube so you can rest on them with ease, again, not a floppy piece of cloth. Use them to get up and sit down, they can take it. Feet are on a rocker design so they'll adapt to weird ground but have little treads so they don't slide around once you set it up. The seat doesn't have weird plastic rivets on the side (Like the $34 dollar one did) and it doesn't have a metal bar under the front of the cloth digging into your thighs. Speaking of the seat, did I mention it was roomy? My tookus fit with room to spare and relax and spread out in. You're not going to get pinched here if you know what I mean. Folding it up took about 5 seconds to figure out. Stand in back of the chair and pull the arms towards you and inwards. It DID fit back into the bag too which was nice because if you've done camping gear before, you know that's usually impossible. Overall I couldn't be more pleased with these (so far) and I figured, since I had to work my butt off to find something that would fit me, be sturdy and be comfortable, I'd leave a review so someone else doesn't have to work as hard as I did to find something good. If I had to give it a con, it weighs like 16 pounds in the bag. Heavy? Meh...it's heavier than the $34 one than came in at 8 pounds but it's a *steel* framed chair, it's going to weigh more. Maybe if you're looking for a chair to haul up a mountain or go hiking with, this isn't it. If you're going to go somewhere, haul them out of your car, 16 pounds is nothing and I'd have some really serious problems if I couldn't handle that LOL. Long story short, if you're looking for a great big guy chair, this is it. It costs more but you're getting solid quality that is comfortable. I'd rather pay more for something I can use season after season instead of it breaking at the end of the summer and I have to get another.

A Big Chair for Big People
As a big person, shopping for outdoor furniture is exhausting. All the chairs that you can find in most stores are rated for a max of 275 lbs. (125 kg for our non-freedom unit using friends). Which is fine, that should cover most people needing to buy chairs. But for we people who haven't met a snack we don't like, that usually doesn't cut it. So when I was told I was going to be subjected to a backyard BBQ this summer, I knew I was in trouble. I had to find a chair that would hold me and I would feel secure sitting in and wouldn't be worried about potentially breaking. So off to Amazon I went. And as I searched for chairs that were rated for 500 lbs. (227 kg, I see you) this one stood out to me, mostly cause it didn't come exclusively in grey, blue, or black. Sidebar, why is everything made for us fat people in grey, blue, black, and occasionally true red or deep green? Seriously fat people like other colors too. Back to the chair. I liked the orange. It shouldn't show dirt as badly as a tan one would and plus it's just a nice friendly color. And by the way, it is a lovely shade of orange in person, it isn't super rusty or a russet or traffic cone orange, it's just a nice medium orange. Let's talk about the heft of it. It's a tad heavy. Good. I want some heft to this thing. I want to know that it's got my back, and will securely hold my assets, if you catch my drift. It is still pretty easy to carry and move around as I need to. It's not super cumbersome and the carrying bag seems strong enough. It is super easy to set up, the first few set ups were a little stiff but as I've opened and closed the chair a few times its starting to get easier to expand. Once it is expanded and set up it's pretty easy to shift it where you need it. The frame is super strong. There is no sag, no real give: you know how some chairs do that when you sit on them they flex just a bit too much where you're nervous you're stressing the joints, this one doesn't. it has the exact right amount of give which is very little. It honestly felt like sitting in a nice dining room chair. The nylon of the seat is nice and thick, feels very durable and like it will not wear out very quickly. And speaking of the seat, for all my people with big booties and wide hips, it's a nice wide seat. My mom, also big, looked at it and said "I don't think it's wide enough," and I said "it's wider than our recliners from Stressless." She sat in it and ordered herself one. I love that it folds up so compactly, I was nervous it would take up a lot of room, but it doesn't take up much more room folded up in it's bag than a similar camping chair weighted for less weight. It is a bit taller though, so that's great for taller people, but it does mean it takes up a bit more space in the back of a closet or on a shelf in the garage. So storing in the off seasons won't be a problem for those of us who live in areas with four seasons. I do love the little fold away cup holder. That's pretty dang nifty. All in all I'm very happy with my purchase and it should do right by me for quite awhile.

Great Purchase!
My husband and I bought a matching set of these chairs in 2023! We have used them for 2 summers and they have held up so well! Every time we bring them somewhere, we are asked about the chairs and where we got them. They sit up so well, no sagging! They hold a lot of weight, so we are never worried about letting someone try them out and sitting on them! I would pay the price of these again in the future to be able to have such good quality and comfortable chairs. The only downside for me is they are a bit heavy, thankfully I have a big, beefy husband is always insisting that he carry the chairs when we are together!
