Whitman's Assorted Milk Chocolates Holiday Sampler, 10 Ounce (22 Pieces)

I bought a total of 4 boxes of them. One was a Valentine's Day gift for my wife. The others were 'thank you' gifts to persons who have done favors for me. My wife shared her box with me. Therefore I can comment on general quality. The low offering price attracted me. This run of the product was boxed in a slightly more plain box than others that I have bought over the years. This I believe this was part of the reason the maker could offer the product at a lower price. These boxes were just as attractive as the others & just as easy to deal with in my opinion. I have never found an inferior product in any box of Whitman's I have bought. This lot was as good as previous boxes purchased. They were all delicious. I render these opinions in light of the several complaints I read from others. I do consider prices when I buy such items. I'll continue to buy Whitman's as long as prices remain reasonable. I believe that their candy continues to be of good quality. I buy other brands from time to time. Therefore I believe I am familiar enough with the market to cause me to be able to say what I have said above. If some boxes of product are as bad as some buyers claim, it could be the fault of retailers' methods of storage or failure to market the candy within a reasonable time.

Delicious and fresh, and came on time as expected. Packaged Perfectly and without damage. Not melted at all.

Great product and fast shipping

Came with a slit in the protective plastic so we did not eat it because of safety concerns We were given a refund and told to keep the product. It was a disappointment for my wife. But Whitman Samplers are great products

I LOVE THESE CHOCOLATES FOR GIFTS. THEY ARE VERY EASY TO GIVE AND FOR THE PRICE CAN NOT BEAT IT..

I got these for some people for Christmas. They didn't come melted, which is nice. The chocolate quality itself seemed fresh, and the size and texture looked good.

Terrible tasting, nothing like the brand from decades ago. When we were kids, you bought Russell Stover when you didn't have the money to buy "fancy" Whitman's or Cadburys. I used to think Russell Stover was the worst excuse for store-bought chocolate. Sadly, today I learned that Russell Stover purchased Whitman's years ago and that's why Whitman's tastes awful now. Wish I had learned that before I bought this box. Anyway, the box I received from Amazon was neither melted nor stale, but the milk chocolate was horrendous and the creams weren't even close creamy like you get at a confectionary (such as See's, Rocky Mountain Chocolate, Wockenfuss, Lake Champlain, Ghirardelli, etc.). For comparison to store bought (versus a confectionary), I'd put Hershey's, which is not really quality either anymore, above Whitman's. Whitman's tastes exactly like you'd expect mass-produced, over processed American-sold chocolate to taste. It's awful.
