Not waterproof like Wet Fire and Live Fire but still very handy
Not waterproof like Wet Fire and Live Fire but still very handy. Tinder Quick Fire Tabs are a good way of having tinder with you when you need it as they are small enough and soft enough that they can be stuffed into the storage compartments that many Ferro rods and other fire starting devices that have them built in. They're not only lightweight and take up very little space but can be lit easily. I'm not sure of this but I believe they are also one of the cheapest products on the market. I carry a small Live Fire Sport can with me for the real difficult times (lots of wind, rain or snow) and a few Tinder Quick tabs for the less difficult times. You won't go wrong with any of the three.

EXACTLY what tinder should be
These are great. they ignite easily and burn for a good amount of time "30-45 seconds" which is PLENTY of time to get your fire started. They weigh nothing, i broke the packet up and put several in each bag and kit i have for bugging out and car safety or camping. Versatile. and work great. so good for tinder. and if you are a seasoned camper or prepper you can cut these in halve and get two out of one. "15 seconds burn time if a lot if you know what you are doing"

Great for starting fires in imperfect conditions.
I purchased these to make survival kits for friends and family this Christmas as stocking stuffers. I had played around with these in my scouting days and was always impressed but never bought any myself until now because money was always tight in my younger days. I lit one up with a spark when assembling them and felt completely spoiled. I wish I'd had them in quantity years ago. If you will or might need to start a fire under imperfect conditions, a few of these could go a long way. Give 'em a try. There are plenty of videos out there to show their impressive heat/fire output and ease of use. Highly recommended.

One plug starts many fires
This tinder is really easy to use, you can peel off just a quarter or fifth of a single plug, fluff it up (the remaining plug doesn't unravel) and it takes a spark like a champ. I use a Bushcraft fire starter necklace, not a huge flint, and it only takes a tiny spark and this stuff catches the spark and flames up. These are light and small and sturdy, highly recommend buying a few of these and spreading them around your gear, truck, campfire, etc.

This is only comercial tinder I will buy.
I have been using this stuff for years and it is the only comercial tinder I will buy. And I have tried damn near everyone on the market. Small, ultra light, inexpensive, catches and ignites with the smallest spark. Like a bic lighter that is out of fluid. And the burn time is good. The only thing better IMHO is homemade tinder with cotton balls and petroleum jelly. But buying these saves me the time and mess. I keep a few pieces in a small tin in my leatherman pouch.
