This was a perfect fit and great replacement for our old brittle tube. Fit both on the machine and the window adapter. Would buy again, but haven’t had to because the quality is so good.

Same thickness as OEM vent tube. This was an easy installation to replace my short (48") exhaust vent tube on my portable A/C unit. I liked it enough to buy a second one. Ay 80" you get the flexibility of 5 feet or 6 feet of exhaust from your A/C. I recommend a vent tube exhaust cover as well to decrease heat into the room.

I need this replacement for my 14 of so year old Sharp portable air conditioner. I tried to get an original, but the cost was almost as high as just replacing the entire unit, and this baby still works great, so... decided to give this one a try. Now, Sharp is smart, so they make their hoses just a BIT larger than the usual 5", thinking you'll buy an original replacement. But I figured this was close enough that I could make it work. The new hose screwed it perfectly, but it will pull out again if you give a tug on it. NOT the hose's fault, I actually needed a 5.17" width hose! But it does fit well enough that this self proclaimed "Queen of Duct Tape" could get it working within minutes! And it does the job well! It's thinner material than the original, so I don't expect to get 10 or more years out of it, but at the cost, I'm not worried about replacing it every few years. I'm just thrilled that it was such a close fit that a simply tape fix worked so well!!!

measure, measure, measure....after measuring with accuracy and dilligence, this product meets my expectations and requirements. It fits snugly into my standalone air conditioner. It is a good quality and value for my money. Hopefully, it will last two/threee summers. I would buy this product again if necessary.
