In one case I got a piece of glass in my mouth - scary. These are nice and long for use with big glasses and very easy to clean. The mouth feel isn't quite as nice as the glass ones - but with glass chips being a possibility there... I'll go with the slightly less rounded feel. It's not sharp... it's just not super rounded.
