Life-changing. This book is the best investment I've ever made.
I almost didn't buy this. I'm usually sceptical of books like this, especially with a title like that. I've read so many of them that got me nowhere. I've always thought one of the best ways to get rich is to write a book about getting rich, and to feed off people's hopes. I'd read reviews saying the tone of this particular book was irritating, misogynistic and fatphobic, and that the book was very US-focused, which isn't much use to me here in the UK. I'm glad I gave it a chance. Sethi has clearly listened to those criticisms. The tone of the edition I bought seems to have been revised, with the problem material taken out, and the foreword explains that the UK version has been updated for a UK audience, with the advice adapted to the UK tax system and financial products, like ISAs and SIPPs. Some reviewers complain that the advice is basic, as if it were written for the financially illiterate. I don't see why that's a criticism. Covering the fundamentals so clearly is exactly what makes this book so good. I've read plenty of finance books that are either so abstract they drift into spiritualism or so technical as to be unreadable. I've read "The Richest Man in Babylon", "Rich Dad Poor Dad" and "Secrets of the Millionaire Mind", and as far as I'm concerned they aren't useful, and some of their advice is frankly terrible. I didn't want parables. I wanted a no-nonsense, practical guide, and that's exactly what I got. Even if you already understand the technical side, this is excellent on the day-to-day business of managing money. And if, as I was, you're a complete beginner who understands nothing, this book is for you too. Simplicity is not to be sniffed at. When considering where to put my money, I've now developed a pretty good nose for nonsense. Before reading this, I wouldn't have had a clue how to decipher the jargon or recognise hype when it comes to investing. It's really not the rocket science some people make it out to be. The book is also rooted in how money works now, when technology has changed so much about how we manage it. The sections on automation and reducing the number of financial decisions you have to make were a revelation to me. His "conscious spending" philosophy also means money management doesn't have to boil down to trivial things like not buying flat whites or trying to save a few pennies on a grocery shop. Now I don't even think about those things. What I didn't expect was how much the book would get into the psychology of money, which I loved. It isn't just about materialism (though if that's your thing, fine). It asks you to think about where you want to be in life, what you value, and how you see your future. Being "rich" doesn't have to mean having loads of money in the obvious sense, though of course that helps! I personally have no real interest in having material possessions, for example. What I want is time to pursue my passions, and now I do. Frankly, this book has changed my life. After a few setbacks I was swimming in debt, and I was losing hope. Now my debt is paid off, I have several pots of money growing without me even looking at them or having to lift a finger, and life feels possible again. I now have space to breathe! I've already recommended it to my younger relatives, because I wish I'd read it ten years ago. It's the best book on finance I've ever read, and in my opinion the only one you'll ever need. For a book that teaches you about investing, it's fitting that it's probably the best investment I've ever made. I feel enlightened.

Must read for 90% of people
Great book a must read for anyone as I would say 90% of people are unaware of the simple fact this book is proving. The bad This book aims at the USA market and if you are not in debt you can skip half of the book as it really all about how to get out of debt. The second half has more hand on info on how to see money and what is possible and needed in the modern world financially. It is not going deep into the financial products but deep enough for a 101 finance. I have enjoyed authors style and practical hands on immediate actionable steps. This book is amazing and if you get only one thing out of it I am sure you will quickly think of someone who you could gift it to :) Modern Robert Kiyosaki? If you don’t get the reference don’t worry 😜

Actionable Blueprint
This is the book that finally got me to stop just thinking about managing my money and actually start doing it. The tone is like a no-nonsense friend who tells you to stop overcomplicating things : it's a bit cheeky, but it works. I finally automated my savings and finally opened a retirement account. It’s not about getting rich quick; it’s about building rich habits without the guilt or complexity. If you're ready to take action, this is your push.

No-fuzz guide on how to manage money
Straightforward, to the meat, and ironic in some parts: you have to read and follow if you know something about money or enjoy the chapters and follow them later when you have more confidence.

A good read to start your FIRE
The concept of conscious spending really hit me. FIRE is not all about saving and leaving below means. It’s about being aware of your finances.
