I love Japanese cuisine and have been collecting and trying out recipes for years, but so far I haven't come across another equally comprehensive book! The recipes are straightforward and easy to follow, there's some beautiful pictures too (I wish there were more though), and the covers are beautifully designed. The book is well structured and the index at the end makes it super easy to find whatever recipe you are interested in. It's also easy to browse by category, although the categories are the classic Japanese ones, not the ones Western readers may be accustomed to. However I think this is a plus because the learning experience is more complete and authentic. I also greatly appreciated the recipes gifted by chefs from Japanese restaurants, included at the end. It's a great book and my copy is already full of bookmarks to family favourites and crowd pleasers.
