After years of using a corded weed wacker, I finally had enough the other day fumbling with a cord that kept falling out if you looked at it the wrong way and a spool feeder that always jammed. Man, why I didn't upgrade to this one sooner... I love the adjustability, the weight, the power and battery saving options, and the fact I'm not tethered to a (censored) extension cord! The first battery charge took several hours, but I was able to do the entire yard in one session once it was done. This thing handled Japanese knotweed with ease, which is an issue here. Other smaller weeds stood no chance either. And I'm not a tool savvy guy, but this was up and running in minutes once the battery was ready.

As others have mentioned, I’m going from corded Black & Decker (cord getting tangled up in the bushes, pulling out of the unit, etc., etc. wasting time) until the line finally wrapped around the turning unit and broke the shaft. Time to go cordless I love the two speed on this, the edging wheel is a brilliant edition, and the battery lasted longer than I needed to to do the whole yard, I would highly recommend.

The unit itself is very nice. Seems sturdily built and is lightweight. Adjustable length works well and locks securely. I question the need for two speed control, but their claim is the lower speed saves battery power. I am not sure how much of a difference it makes and changing speeds in use is not very intuitive. A better choice would be an in between speed which is permanent to get better cutting and a little longer battery life. My annoyance comes from the lack of much information about the "automatic line feed" and how it operates. The fact is, the user's manual is bare bones for user information. The booklet is small, is divided into three languages, and all of the "icon" diagrams to explain things are so small you need a magnifying glass. I wanted to know what triggers the line feed, how it knows to lengthen it, and how it knows to stop feeding. None of that information is in the book or on the Black and Decker website videos. Aside from that, the unit is built well and should be durable. It is a good value for the money.

Love this. Particularly the ability of it to edge with the same tool. I am only 5’3” and the other stringers are too long and difficult to use. This is perfect and lightweight for smaller women. It’s does a great job! Auto feed is a great feature.

Great item

This is an excellent tool. I had owned one previously and, when I needed to get a new one, did not consider any other brand. I am a long-time Black & Decker tool user and swear by their versatility, quality and price.

I bought this to replace my very old LST120 weed eater. I already have a ton of B&D batteries and other tools (chainsaw, hedge trimmer, long reach pruner saw, drilles, saws, etc) and I liked some of the newer features/updates of this trimmer. Much like my older one, it is well balanced and has great adjustability, especially with the ability to use the wheeled edger mode. If it's anything like my old one, it should be very durable but with increased versatility. I find that the line feed on the B&D trimmers are second to none--no bumping whatsoever and they seem to feed out new line with great timing. Only issue my old one had was the 'nut' to tighten the shaft for length or edging cracked and so it wouldn't stay put anymore, but the new one is different and looks to be made of a better material, so I hope I won't have that issue.

It’s perfect for light trimming and edging. Battery holds up well. Adjustable length so any one can use it. This is my second one. First one is still working fine and gifted to my daughter.
