This table top works great on our pool table. It's a little heavy to maneuver, but that makes it a good ping pong table. We have a book of the perfect thickness right in th emiddle to support both sections.

First table I received was damaged. Contacted the seller per the instructions and was told to contact Amazon and have them replace it. Amazon replaced it and picked up the damaged one. Second one was also damage, edges of the table were crushed/chipped and the elastic on the net was broken. Poor quality and doesn’t do well shipping from Amazon.

We purchased this item for our kids. the set up was not bad. I arrived quickly and everyone loves playing . GREAT PRODUCT!

Unpackaged on Christmas Eve to assemble and discovered extensive damage caused by inadequate packaging. When you have almost 100 pounds of wood in a box, a little bit of styrofoam around it and a thin box just doesn't work. It really needs a double-walled box and some sort of padding that is more durable than styrofoam (like a hard foam). Several corners were smashed. A couple edges were dented. One surface was damaged as well. I attached four pictures, but for some reason only one of them is showing below. Installation was a bit challenging for something so simple. The instructions weren't clear and there were no pictures, so it wasn't clear how to orient the four pieces. The larger white outlines go around the perimeter of the table, so the hinges go along the long side with the smaller stripe. There are holes pre-drilled for the screws on the A side, but they're too wide. Also, some of mine weren't lined up all that well, so once you screw the hinge in, it's crooked. If you have a crooked hinge, it creates a stress point and it's going to break. I had to redo the hinges. They provide a very small (about 1-2 cubic inches!) support to use in the middle, but that's totally inadequate. We used some bigger boards. With the damage to the corners of the four boards, it's very hard to get the net posts on. I'm afraid the hinges (and especially the tiny screws holding them in) aren't going to hold up to many openings/closings. Fortunately, we plan on keeping this on our pool table most of the time, so I'm hoping we might get some good use out of the topper. Once it breaks (not if), I'll have to evaluate whether it's worth putting some better hinges (like maybe a piano hinge) on it, or if I just need to replace it with a better quality topper. Amazon gave us a partial refund to compensate for the damage, but I'm still not sure it's worth it. I would NOT recommend this topper.

Before purchasing this item I made the proper measurments of my billiard table to make sure the item fit well with a bit of over hang on sides for net. I am so far, remarkably satisfied with this item. It fits comfy on top of table, the stick on cushion buttons protects main table from scratches and significantly removes movement of top table. The item is sturdy and well made for the most part. There are two cons however: 1. some assembly required and the table pieces are heavy. 2. There is mild bowing in middle of table because of billiard space, but I fixed that easy by using a 1x1 block of wood under both sides of mid and the table sits perfect after that. All in all I really do like this item and it is a lot better than storing away a full size $300 table. Its sturdy and the table itself is covered in a PVC layer which means it can get a drink or two spilled on it and still last. UPDATE: it's now 8 years later and the item is still intact and doing what it was made to do. I have had every sort of drink spilled on it, and kids have climbed all over the damn thing. I'm sad to see a few bad reviews, for me, this item has been clutch. I would buy it again.

Item arrived with gouges, scratches and the hinge coming off. Sending it back would be a huge inconvenience due to its size and weight. Plus, it shouldn’t be returned to sell to someone else. I’m going to try for a refund as I took pictures.

Bought this to place over my pool table for entertainment use only. Keep in mind, this is much heavier than I thought. I opted to not hinge the pieces together. The pieces are so heavy, I think after a couple of foldings, they'll brake off. I just slide the four pieces together, put a piece of wood in the middle to prevent bowing, and it does the trick. Plus, it makes it easier to put up/take down/and store. If I were to hinge these pieces together, I would definitely need someone else to help put it up and take it down. Also keep in mind, this is not a professional tournament table. It's only good for causal play around use....which is what I wanted. It is okay made but over-priced. If they knocked off 50% off the price, it would be an awesome deal. As it stands, it's okay for fun use.

This works so well as a replacement table tennis top for the one that got ruined in my vacation home, and is so much cheaper than refinishing/replacing the entire table.

My kids abuse this table and it is holding up really nicely. Very sturdy. Good investment.
