Probably because there isn't anything wrong with this thing! I have to admit that I was a little iffy on purchasing something with ONLY 5 star reviews, but it's 5 stars for a reason - this cover is amazing! I'll admit I've only had it for a week or so, but it's served me well in this short period of time. I've taken it just about everywhere and it's held up well and still looks great (still has the new leather smell if you're into that too). Here are some reasons I love this thing: The personalized stamp looks good and helps me figure out which side is the front. The stitching wont be coming undone any time soon (it took me forever to find where the thread ended). The notebook stays in place when you open it and the case stays shut when it's closed. It's pretty easy to remove and put a new notebook in. The craftsmanship of this thing is just STUNNING and it makes me WANT to carry this around with me! The only "bad" thing about this is that it scratches easily; this isn't even a big deal. When I reach in my pocket, sometimes my nail grazes it and it leaves a light line, but hey, it adds character and the rest of it will fade to match it in time. Overall, definitely not disappointed and I feel as though my money was well spent! I'll update this review if I have a change of heart, but I have a feeling you wont hear from me again. Update: Well I did end up coming back, but it's to show how it's aged over the three years I've used it!

This is a beautiful journal, made with quality materials and exquisite craftsmanship. I ordered the Pocket Size cover with light brown stitching and monogram. All of the product and customer photos only showed the monogram in capital letters, but when I placed my order I entered the monogram in lower case letters and that is exactly what I received on the final product (and exactly what I wanted). The leather is nice and thick (nearly as thick as the actual notebook) and the chestnut color is exactly as pictured. The light brown thread compliments the leather perfectly and the stitches are neat and straight with no loose ends of thread left showing. The Pocket Size fits the 3.5" x 5.5" Moleskine Cahier like a glove, and for anyone curious the leather cover with Moleskine inside makes the overall size 3.75" x 5.75" and about 0.5" thick. Despite this being a customized item from a smaller scale seller, I received shipping confirmation less than 24 hours after I place my order and the package was delivered a day before the estimated delivery window. I've never bothered to leave a review for a product on Amazon before, but this item is definitely worthy of the extra effort. I was not compensated in any way for this review. I paid full price for this product and would happily do so again. Extremely happy with my purchase.

As with the other reviews, I received this within a few short days of ordering. The quality is top notch. You can tell these are true leather artisans because the cuts and stitching are spot on. When you end a run of stitching, you have to overlap a small part of the first row. As you can see from the photos I have attached, the last row of stitching is perfectly laid over the first one. There are no loose threads and you have to inspect carefully to even see it. Another area you can easily tell an artisan from a novice is at the corners. This has been carefully made, not just slammed out. The seams are even, straight, and carefully sewn. This is a piece that will last for many years and I look forward to how it will look 10, 20 years down the road. I am certain this will be an heirloom piece for me. The leather has a slightly rustic look, but not so much that it cannot be used professionally. In fact, you can tell this is high quality leather and works well for business. The more you use it, the more flexible and soft it will become. Mine came with a slight imperfection in the leather, a grooved welt on the inside back flap. I happen to love that since it adds character. I felt the designer who put this together did a good job making sure that was placed on the inside of the flap rather than the outside. All around, you can tell an expereinced hand worked on this and that they used quality products.

Just received the package. First impression is that the leather is good quality. The craftmanship and finishing is great. Am sure the product will age well.
