How to Be Good at Math Workbook, Grades 4-6: The simplest–ever visual workbook

This has been the best math workbook I've found, I'm really happy with it. The teacher's manual (order separately) gives good instructions. The workbook gives just enough practice to fully understand but not so much to be overwhelming. It moves quickly, a new lesson every day so if the student needs more practice, you may need to print some worksheets from another source.

This math workbook has been a great fit for my 12 year old son as a review/prep for middle school math. We homeschool and he often struggles with feeling overwhelmed in math. Most other workbooks and programs have too many problems on a page and are quite boring. This workbook has colorful pages, good examples, and just the right amount of work for us. The variety of problems in each lesson is great. In just the first week his attitude shifted and he is starting to feel confident in his ability to do math again. I didn't know about the "textbook" that goes with the workbook and didnt order it when making this purchase. I think it is possible to use the workbook without it if there is someone available with familiarity with the concepts. Some of the lessons are set up more as review and don't go too in depth with explanations. I went ahead and ordered the book to see how it is, so I will try and remember to update my review.

My daughter has been struggling with math and really enjoys this book. It seems to be helping regain her interest.

I really liked the companion book and think this will be a good workbook. However there is no indication about what is 4th, 5th, or 6th grade level in the workbook.

I recently started homeschooling my daughter and we love this book, it’s quick, easy and to the point. It has beautiful illustrations and it keeps my ADHD daughter engaged. Will definitely purchase the next grade level once we complete the book!

I recommend this book for 5 graders and 6 graders. It clearly demonstrates each knowledge point of the math and teaches step by step how it works with practices. It’s a good book for reviewing as well.

The book is colorful, illustrated, with high quality paper. I will use together with the textbook to study maths at home with my son.

It is simple enough for the children to understand.

This math workbook has a wide variety of question types, including various multiplication exercises, the interrelationship between the numerator and denominator, and the application of division arithmetic. These contents enable children to easily master the knowledge points.

The lessons are clearly laid out, but this is definitely more advanced than grade 4. If your child is struggling or needs extra practice in math, I would recommend starting with the grade 2-3 version.
