My favorite vocal mic.
I replaced an old SM58 a few years ago with a different mic, and have never been pleased with its performance. I recently purchased a new SM58 and am glad to have my favorite mic back! This mic has a nice heft to it - it has a nice weight in the hand. The signal is clear and strong, and the cardioid pattern really gives me a lot of good mic dynamics to work with. This is the original "whisper to a scream" mic - with good sensitivity whether I'm right on it singing at a whisper, or a few feet back belting it out. I find I don't need to use much EQ on my mixer - the SM58 picks up the full spectrum of frequencies easily, and the volume before feedback level is very high compared to other mics on the market. This one came with a convenient pouch, a mic stand clip and an XLR cable.
