Disappointing!!
It’s unfortunate that this laser collimation has 2 problems: 1. The laser beam is not collimated, it traces a circle when I rotate it. 2. The diameter of the collimation is slightly smaller than the diameter of the telescope focuser, this size mismatch is enough for the laser collimator to fit slightly differently each time you attach it to the focuser therefore it provides different results each time. Sure you can spend time and fix these defects by collimating and calibrating the laser beam using the screws on the sides and put a layer of tape on the collimator neck to make it fit snugly in the focuser, but when I buy a tool I expect it to perform and function properly right out of the box. I don’t expect to spend additional time and effort to fix the tool to be usable.

A must have
Got mine few days ago, couldn't be more happy with the quality and easy of use. Highly recommend

First one = defective, customer service = great, second unit works very well.
I also was required to calibrate this collimator, with no success. First of all, digging out all the rubber from the adjustment ports is a pain in the arse, as well as shows a little overconfidence in the factory’s calibration (more likely covered so the screws don’t fall out and get lost). Second, one of my adjustment screws had zero effect when screwing it all the way in or out. I was not able to correct mine and I’m not sure if I can return it now. Ordered mine in the winter when I was not using my telescope yet since it was so cold. Kind of disappointed to have to build your own rig to calibrate this, to collimate some this else. Small chance I may try this product again, might just try another product. (EDIT) I received a defective unit. The company did not hesitate to send me a new one to try out and were quite sympathetic. I started my rating off pretty harsh with one star, but had to give at least three for the customer service alone. I have not had the opportunity to test the replacement unit they had sent. I will update my review again once I have. UPDATE: Used the second unit for quite a while now, and the later has been accurate the entire time. My telescope is now properly collimated and can now view the beautiful things in our solar system and beyond. The customer service has been incredible and understanding. The product has been working like a charm now and I am completely satisfied. I do, on the other hand, have to give fair warning to future potential buyers to check the accuracy of their lazer collimater before using it on their telescopes. This might actually apply to all lazer collimator products, and may require you to fashion your own rig to do it. If all is well, collimate your heart out!

Wish I had bought years ago
This product works amazingly well. I was surprised by how fast and easy it made collimating my telescope. Before purchasing the laser collimator, I had attempted to collimate the telescope manually and thought the alignment was fairly accurate. However, after using this tool and achieving precise alignment, the improvement in image quality was immediately noticeable. The craters on the Moon appeared significantly sharper, and the cloud bands on Jupiter were much more distinct and easier to observe. I had read a few reviews mentioning concerns about build quality and laser alignment, but my unit arrived perfectly aligned and ready to use right out of the box. For the price, this is an excellent value and a must-have accessory for any telescope enthusiast looking to get the best performance from their equipment.
