Wrong module sent. Not compatible with the system even though description said it was. Returned.

Installed on Inspiron 15 3511 and works
Dell was out of stock of this exact same memory, which also happened to be more expensive. Installed on an Inspiron 15 3511 and works without issue. Dell specifies that this model only can go up to 16GB and it had come preinstalled with 12GBS. One 8GB and one 4GB, this replaced the 4GB... Quick and easy, about 10minutes overall.

Super easy to install, computer recognized immediately
Saved money over purchasing from Dell. Shut down the laptop. You will need a very small Phillips screwdriver to remove the 8 small screws that secure the lower cover. Work it loose from the clips starting from the hinge side. Install the ram by ensuring the slot lines up in the receiving plug and push into the ram slot and push down so the clips on the sides fully engage. and reverse the process to reinstall the lower cover. 15 -20 minutes max.Torn on the computer and click continue when the text box comes up saying that the computer discovered additional RAM.
