Q: Is there live monitoring? And can i turn it on and off??

You can only monitor INPUTS on the MK2. You cannot monitor outputs. So if you are trying to DJ and you want a cue in your headphones or booth, you are outta luck. You are better off finding a used MK1.

Q: Does the output jack in the front passthrough audio from your computer as well or does it only output the input signal for monitoring?

Both. There is a knob that lets you mix the input (instrument, microphone) and host (computer/DAW) signals on the headphone output.

Is the trs line input on the audio 1 balanced? I already have a mic pre amp and would like to bypass the amp. I don't want to degrade sound quality.

Do i need a pre amp for vocal mic? also i currently use pod by line 6. does this have something similar?

In need of an audio interface? This is it.

I have yet to fully take advantage of all of the software that comes courtesy of Native instruments, but what I can say so far is I am extremely happy with this interface.I have a dual keyboard rig with a mixer. The lower board is my controller for my cubase daw. However, my pc suddenly got noise in the usb hub internally. I now route the mixer into the komplete and connect the komplete to the computer. Even better I still have my keyboard connected to the computer. The native instruments pieces show up in cubase as vst and are controlled by my keyboard.One caveat is that the komplete doesn't allow direct monitoring of it's outputs so I set up ableton live (also came with the komplete) with a profile that allows me to monitor the outs.To avoid the above I suggest using the komplete 6, which does have monitoring on the outputs.My setup allows me access to a fully functional daw, great audio out for my computer, and the ability to use headphones when not using external speakers. Plus I got a full suite of music production software. A huge bonus.I'm extremely please with this product.

NVRAM needed to correct sound issues

Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6 Mk2 Awesome if ur using on MacBook old u need to use NVRAM on your macbook if u start getting issues with the sound as for the kit…everything I need for my Adam Audios and keyboard and machine mk2Delivery as usual TOP !!!👍👍
