I believe they are thin pieces of stiff board with magnetic backs to hold to the dolls.

Does this have a plastic cover to contain the pieces?

It has a little plastic cover that sits on the accessories but if tilted everything falls out. Didn’t realize there was nothing to keep pieces in their spot. It is a fun toy thou and there’s always a ziploc bag to keep the pieces in.
