Complete kit to facilitate first time garage door opener install to a garage truss. Strut pieces are the right length and gauge (steel thickness) for proper install. All needed fasteners (lag screws and bolts, washers and nuts) are included.

Got this kit for a 3/4 hp chamberlain opener I bought at Costco for my third Bay that didn’t have anything garage door opener structure in place. This kit is self explanatory and has so many pieces it brought me back to my childhood erector set memories. The angles are thick enough to be structurally sound but then just thin enough to cut and notch with a very sturdy pair of snips. I definitely recommend this kit for all your garage door opener install needs. A++

The install is more tedious if your powerhead falls between trusses placed 24" on-center, perpendicular to the garage door tracks. I cut brackets and ran short on hardware. Two 24" angle iron pieces would have made the install much more pleasant. The door reinforcement bracket was nice since my existing bracket was tiny. For trusses/joists running in the same direction as the door, this kit is perfect, but I would have looked for something to fit better if I had measured trusses beforehand.

I’ll first state I used these on my first ever garage door opener install. House didn’t come with a unit for the third stall and these worked amazing. Perfect spacing for what you need. I will add that if you have a very far distance from the ceiling to the unit you will need another kit cause this only comes with one long piece used to mount to the joices in the ceiling. But I think for most applications it’s perfect.

I have installed a few garage door openers but has it been this easy. The ease of adjustment by using the different holes and a secure mount to the ceiling made the task much simpler than I would have imagined. I was able to adjust left right up and down without having the hold the opener in one hand while working with the other. I debated buying this because it was a necessary but I’m so glad I did. I will never install another opener without one of these kits.

Working good

Used this to replace the bracket that came with my chamberlain garage opener to attach the opener to the stud in the ceiling. The quality and sturdiness thereof is amazing. I also used the garage door bracket since I had a door that additional support - been running for over a month and no issues.
