Emsa Samba, Quick Press, Vacuum Insulated Thermal Carafe, 34 oz, Translucent White

This is our 2nd Samba carafe purchase. We loved the first one so much, we have now ordered this one for a gift. We have had other carafes in the past that would not keep coffee hot for 4 hours, let alone in excess of 12 hours as this one does. It keeps the coffee hot and fresh tasting for at least 12 hours, and have even had coffee still "warm" the next day. The carafe holds a typical 10 cup pot, and is very easy to clean with the glass interior and the non-stain exterior. This carafe is well worth the money!

I love this carafe! It keeps coffee hot for at least 10 hours even when I don't prepare it with hot water. The press feature in the lid works beautifully and I hold it down a bit longer while tipping the carafe to let the extra liquid go down inside after pouring my cup of java. The translucent white is definitely white with extra brightness. It looks very nice on my counter and table. I couldn't be happier with this product.

Brings back memories of Germany. I first had this in the line green over there and I’d been looking for one recently when I got the flu. It’s extremely useful when you’re unwell. You keep it by your bedside with a mug and you’re good to go. It’s easy to clean and most importantly it keeps my tea hot for over 8 hours. At hour 12 it’s still warm. Amazing.

I used to have a red Emsa jug, almost use it every day in winter. After several years usage, it still looks like a new one. I gave it to my mother, who also like drink hot tea. German stuff has good quality.

This was our 3rd attempt at a carafe. Finally, one that delivers and is of quality. Could it possibly be because it is made in Germany, and not China? We like this for several reasons: 1. it does not leak and the seals actually work; 2. it hold the beverage hot, for a long time. It is glass lined, like a real thermal unit should be, not just plastic; 3. it is not massively oversized. We find it perfect for our morning brew, which I make directly into this pot, after warming it with hot water, via a drip cone. We also like the push button on top to open/close, although you have no way of knowing, "is it open or closed". Very easy to clean and rinse. Overall, a high quality product that works! Normal price on this is high, but we found it for $18, like new, so we are happy with price.

After about two years of using the carafe, liquid made it's way between the inner glass liner and the translucent outside shell. Because it is translucent, the mold can be seen through. Needless to say, that's the end of this thermos in my kitchen.

I bought this to use at Thanksgiving to keep the gravy warm and it worked perfectly! It actually kept the gravy piping hot for over five hours! The glass inside is easy to clean if you use a handled scrubber. Very impressed. I'll use this any time I make gravy or other sauces.

It looks nice, but it does not keep the coffee hot (or even warm) for more than one hour even when it's full! I had another one exactly the same and it did a wonderful job of keeping the coffee hot so they either changed something or I got a "lemon" this time around. I should have sent it back, but it's such a hassle! Will never buy one online again.

Ottimo prodotto, mantiene il caldo veramente per parecchio tempo. Io la adopero sopratutto per il caffè e devo dire che lo mantiene molto caldo per tutto il giorno, anche se la caraffa è da un litro. L'ho cercata da 66 0 75 ml ma non la ho trovata. Molto comoda inoltre la chiusura QuickTip. La consiglio.

Fantastic product. I've tried numerous insulated carafes, but they all have had that immediate feel of cheap and disposable, even those I paid over $50 for. The Samba, however, is real quality. It's stylish, works flawlessly, is simple to use, and keeps beverages hot. I've been using it for three months with coffee every day, and there's not a sign of staining on the white spout (a common problem with other higher-end carafes I've tried). The lid also is a pleasant surprise. Most lids are easily over-turned, or the gasket is worn down quickly. This one, however, has a handy arrow on the lid pointing to where it should line up with the spout, and when it lines up, there is a satisfying "click"--no guessing or re-adjusting. And nothing could be easier than simply pressing an inconspicuous button (with another satisfying click) to pour. No need to look elsewhere, this is best it gets.
