Great box cutter!
Love this box cutter. It has the right weight and ergonomics for what youd expect. It slides open and close easily and stays in the desired position . I'd say it's the safest box cutter I ever owned. The belt clip is nice. I pair it with black oxidized blades, but it comes with high-quality blades as well. I'd buy this again if I lost it--- which I did.

The best $8 you will spend in the next 10 years
If i could give this product 10 stars, I would. I manage a convenience store and i use my Turbo Knife at least 50x per day. I bought one several years ago because a store had them on sale for dirt cheap so I figured, ah what the heck? This is my 4th Turbo knife, second that I have purchased. I lost my last one a couple weeks ago and have felt naked ever since. I have tried several different types of utility knives and NOT A SINGLE ONE can compare. If i need to open a box, I can whip out my TK that I have clipped inside my pocket and slide out the knife in one fluid motion. One slide puts it back. I have been mourning it's loss ever since I lost it. It was my good little buddy. Always there and always reliable. Before leaving for work, I always check for phone, wallet, keys, Turbo. There are a lot of people complaining on here about how they fall apart, etc. Yes, I have had that problem. My last one randomly lost screws. Obviously the folks didn't read the package before whining on here about it. THEY ARE GUARANTEED FOR LIFE. Remember how I said I have had 4 and bought 2? My first one had the screw that sandwiched the blade disappear. I emailed Olympia Tools, sent a pic and I had a new one in a couple days WITH FREE SHIPPING. the second one had the screws that hold the frame together fall out. I sent a picture with my shipping address- they apologized and promptly sent a replacement. They also advised me to periodically tighten the screws (it uses a T9 torx) I bought a little "Electronics Repair Kit" for $4 at Harbor Freight that has the right size Torx bit for the TK. So every month, I do my TK maintenance- change the blade (by now I've used both sides), wipe the blade slide down, apply ONE drop of 3-in-1 and tighten all the screws and it has never failed me. It is refreshing to see a company stand behind their product 200% and to have a product so good that it disrupts someone's everyday function when you don't have it. Believe me when I say, BUY THIS FREAKIN' KNIFE.

Wish it was like the old version
I used this knife everyday for about 10 years. It was sturdy, metal and solid. I recently purchased THIS one which is the same but made of thinner material and already has a chip in the corner from dropping on concrete. Please go back to the metal frames and solid feel. 6 MONTH REVIEW After owning this blade for 6 months, 3 of the screws which hold the assembly together had worked themselves loose. This unfortunately caused my blade to fall onto the ground without my knowledge. Durability: This is overall a decent blade. There are some caveats with the product as a whole. 1: As mentioned previously, this assembly is made of plastic. This used to be made of metal and was a lot more durable. 2: I drop this thing almost daily due to my own carelessness, and in doing so, have multiple scratches and chips. Which was not the case with the all metal frame of previous models. 3: As previously stated, 3 of the screws have worked themselves loose which caused a catastrophic failure. Some locktite should fix this issue. 4: The belt clip is screwed into plastic, which over time causes the plastic to warp and loosen. This can temporarily be fixed with some loktite. Ease of use: This thing is by far the best option for me and anyone else that has to consistently pull out a blade for use. Take away: Buy some loktite or a thread sealer and get to work. Although I would love to see the metal version come back out, this knife will get the job done without much fuss.

Cant ever have enough box knifes
I love these. I probably have about 20 of them around the house, in the truck, at work and in the garage. The safety switch is great for locking the blade in and not having any accidents while carrying them in your pocket. They are durable and simple quick blade replacement. Just push a button and pull the old blade out and slide the new one in. Great price and like color options.

My favorite knife
I bought the first of these knives at a local hardware store and carried it EVERYWHERE for two years (and I do mean everywhere, at the time I worked doing weatherization so five days a weeks I was in and out of attics, crawlspaces, kneewalls, under trailers, in trailer ceiling spaces, in basements, and spaces that don't even qualify as "crawl" spaces....more as "slither" spaces), TWO years before one of the little screws worked its way out and I NEEDED to buy another, so I bought two. I got the knife and the slides dirtied up with insulation, and mud, and silt, and rocks, etc. and I just used a little PB B'laster and a cotton swab to clean out the grooves and it worked GREAT. I never had a problem with the slide moving on its own UNTIL that screw came out, then the two sides couldn't hold tension and frankly I just tapped it with a hammer a couple times and that fixed that, for probably a month or so, then another one of the screws started to loosen up, and I reasoned with myself that I had gotten MORE than my money's worth out of the one so I would buy a set and keep looking for the right size screw bit so I could occassionall tighten the screws. (If you can find a torque bit that fits the little screws that hold this together and tighten the screws occassionally, and you clean the slides occassionally, this knife could probably last you just about forever.) Oh, and changing the blade is crazy easy, you just roll back the little wheel that you can see right above the blade in the picture, pull out the old blade, slide in the new blade, let go of the wheel, done.

Very disappointed in Olympia. I bought the exact same knife over 10 years ago and the slider finally broke. I was excited to find it online again only to be surprised when it got here and the body is made of plastic now. It's about 3/16 of an inch wider which is a lot for a knife that sits in your pocket. Not to mention the slider looks flimsy as hell and you have to actually push it to the side before you can slide it which is super annoying. The clip is also made of thinner gauge metal and bends easily. Very disappointed with the changes they made but its still a good knife.
