They saved my leg, if not my life.
These chaps saved me from a trip to the hospital today, if not worse. Since I had the chaps on, nothing really happened other than the damage to the chaps shown in the pic when the chain found its to my leg while still spinning. I wear size 35W/32L. I bought the "size 40-42" based on recommendations to buy larger size than you wear in other reviews. These are definitely big on me, but are not falling off or anything and working out fine. The length can be shortened by using the fold over snaps along the waste. I wear them over Levis 505's which fit kinda loose... I'm no lumberjack, but I'm not inexperienced either. You don't normally operate a chainsaw and your strength will fatigue faster than you think which deteriorates your ability to control the saw safely, and conctact with the spinning chain happens in the blink of an eye. Buy the chaps if you have none, stop thinking about it, just buy them and don't saw without them.

Chainsaw chaps cut resistant
These saw chaps seem great. Nice pocket on the thigh. Lots of straps to hold it in place. The ones I ordered were rather long but I should be able to make them work I'm 6 ft.

Good price, good quality
Easy to take on and off. Protection almost as good as pants

Great fit, works as needed
These arrived and are exactly as described. Not too heavy, but they feel like they could take a hit from a chainsaw without a problem; I hope to never find out. The leg sections have adjustable straps to keep the chaps in front of the leg and may also keep the chaps from moving if a chainsaw hits it which is what you are going to want. The wait is easily adjustable and you can tighten it with one hand once they are on and where you want them to sit on your waist and you can adjust the length also if you need to. I'm 6'2 and didn't need to adjust the length. If you are looking for protection, I recommend getting these and hoping you never need to find out that they work.

Very nice chaps
I wear 32 inch long pants and the small fit perfect. Seems very well made and easy to put on and off.

Durable, heavy protection for your lower half
I bought these for chainsaw work but have started using them for anything where I think I’m going to get banged up or scratched They take a minute or two to get into and the legs are a bit long on me, but otherwise they are exactly what I wanted They are on the heavy side and somewhat stiff, but I believe they will provide a good deal of protection I would buy them again

Not easy to keep up and not like the quality versions. Better than nothing.

Product: Chainsaw Chaps Apron Wrap 8-layer Purchased/usage: 2 months/ 10 cords of wood Experience: Novice Summary: Overall this feels like a well made pair of chaps. If you're on the fence between chaps and pants, note that chaps are easier to fit different body sizes and they are also easier to put on then full pants. The chaps are not too heavy buy fairly weighty which you would expect with 8 layers of protection. My only complaint, and this is not restricted to this manufacturer, is the tendency to use plastic fastening clips. I think a $50 upgrade to include metals fasteners would be a selling feature as I know that within a few years these clips will start to break and I'll have to invest money in real metal clips.
