In my photo Bright Red on top, Scarlet below. The image of Scarlet yarn in the listing is very off color-wise, at least on my devices. I ordered it anyway. Both Patons Scarlet and Bright Red colorways are beautiful reds. Scarlet leans just a bit orange, just a touch towards tomato. For those complaining about texture, hand-feel or felting, please know what you are buying: traditional 100% wool from sheep. It has not been processed to make it machine washable/dryable. If you need machine washable wool, look for “Superwash”. But take care of traditional wool and it will keep you warm (even if it gets wet) as it has done for humans since 10,000 BC.

The wool is of standard quality. It will be alright for making an everyday garment, which will have to be washed and treated very carefully and correctly to justify the expense of purchase.

I bought this to make a pair of felted slippers for my niece. I was really surprised to find that it felted just in the washing! Will definitely seek out for my next felted project.

Bought this for a felting project as the pattern used this make, I will add pitures once I've put it through the wash and it has shrunk to the correct diamentions but I like it so far.
