Switched cable boxes and the new one had no clock! Bought this to sit next to the cable box and very happy. Like that you can control the brightness and also very easy to set.

After using my cell phone as a bedside clock for years, I decided I wanted something I could dim easily that I didn't even have to move to see. This fits the bill perfectly. It's a typical cheap plastic affair, but it is just what I wanted. Red color is nice for darkness. I looked at a handful of clocks before I bought this, and I actually thought this was a 0% dimmer; it's obviously not. That's on me. Still, the brightness dimmer allows it to get dim enough for me, a very light and sensitive sleeper, to ignore with my eyes closed. On the lowest brightness, I can lie facing the thing, with it maybe 3" away from my face, and it doesn't illuminate my brain. It doesn't illuminate my hand visibly at about the same distance.

I need to be able to see the time from across the living room. The cable box had been replaced with a new model, which lacks this feature. Thw small clock works great.

Very bright digital display but you can dim it. Easy to set up.

It keeps the time and is easy to read from a distance.
