Seaboard Rise 49 MIDI Controller

I really love this controller. It is a very versatile instrument and comes with brilliant software. Roli is constantly adding more sounds and programs so you will never run out. Creating sounds is also very intuitive. Does take a bit of learning to get used to especially for live use but once you have learned it never fails to turn heads. I had one issue with mine, my USB port stopped working. This was due to mine being an older model before it was sold to me. That however was fixed by roli for free, not only did they pay shipping but the also checked all the hard ware while the USB was being fixed. They even replaced the silicone top for me free of charge. Their customer service is great. Would highly recommend

Overall, I'm happy with this purchase. There is a bit of a learning curve for anyone used to solid keys but aside from that, the keyboard software integration is superb. My only regret is that I didn't read into it enough to know that all the software licenses aren't transferable. Sure, you get the Roli software, but if you're interested in the extra programs that come with new ROLI purchases, I wouldn't recommend buying a used one.

my ROLI was here faster than if I flew myself on a commercial airline from the other side of the world! Superb packaging. Simple steps to download software and start up. Exploring now. Even at this early stage I can feel how AWESOME my ROLI is! ...I'm a pianist...a tuned percussion player where the notes are all tuned...but this is like I'm playing a fretless instrument like a viola...I have to really listen to what I am playing, to actually "vocalize" my creative intent...like falling in quicksand; sink or swim

Came with all sorts of manufacturer defects and didn't work properly. I bought a seaboard block and it doesn't have these issues. I looked it up and there was a bad production run that is still circulating. Roli should have replaced and recalled the bad devices. I won't buy another RISE

As a guitar and fiddle player, I love the expressive capabilities of the Rise; slides, bends and vibrato are very intuitive. It's a really well made piece of gear and my contact with Roli has been positive. It's very different from a regular keyboard and should be considered it's own instrument.

As others have recently reported. My unit is dead after just a few uses. I am using it on Windows and the USB will not be recognized (Bluetooth does not work for Windows) though the power button is flashing blue and white. Contacted Roli on 1/24/20 and got a reply on 1/29/20 to check devices and confirm that it is not showing up. This should have been obvious since I had already reported the same. As others reported, it is very frustrating to have a brick at > $1k. Let see if Roli actually makes due on their warranty. UPDATE Roli did follow up and send a replacement unit. Thanks ROLI!

I am just a hobbyist who likes to dabble in music. While I cannot fully take advantage of all this wonder has to offer, it is out-of-this-world cool!

Le Futur est très très proche ... Ce n'est pas un piano, c'est beaucoup plus complexe. La dose de créativité que fourni cet outil est infini.

overall very satisfied with rise 49. Only complaint is rather major though, that it is only bluetooth with a mac. nowhere can i find i find on roli website or on amazon that it is not compatible with windows.
