Photomyne Photo Studio Light Box – Foldable Collapsible Photography Tent with Carrying Bag, Glare-Free Diffuser for Product Photography

This was a project I kept putting off as I just knew it was going to take a commitment of time and thoughtfulness. I tried copying my photos without the light box and just wasn’t happy with the quality of the images I was getting until I got the Photomyne Light box. What a difference this makes for the quality of the photos in terms of glare and shadows, especially when working with old glossy images. It folds up into a compact rectangle that’s easy to store and in its own carrying case which means all the rest of my little gadgets (the clicker and the phone stand can be packed into the same bag so I don’t lose them. It’s great too as a shadow box for small objects that you might want to photograph.

Does not prevent iPhone from reflecting on glossy photos…..had to use scanner instead.

Spacious. Uncomplicated. Easy to Use. I'd give it a five star but had to use my ring light in it when shooting at night. Still highly recommend. As it works great with natural lighting. I had purchased an other light box prior to this. Great product too. But too many pieces. Complicated to set up. Returned and purchased this product.

Yes, it got rid of the glare issues I was having.

The phone holder arm and the glare screen are a waste of money. It does not stay attached to the table. I’m no amateur to these types of clamps but any little movement of the arm loosens the clamp a little so it quite frequently. Lots of washers and screws need to be realigned over and over again. I’m going to use my iPhone tripod instead. This, paired with the screen did NOT eliminate glare. I used every type of lighting possible: overhead yellow, indirect sunlight 10 feet away, shades drawn, shades drawn plus no interior light turned on, white light in side lamps, a light from another room with shades drawn, Nighttime, in the dark! I still got glare. Ridiculous. I’m canceling my Photomyne subscription too. Price is too high. Get an iPhone tripod instead. You get more versatile use from it. Design is just awful.

I found more often than not, no matter where I was in the house there was still glare trying to use this tent. I tried daylight, various indoor lighting and it was hit and miss. I would get lucky and be able to take a bunch of pictures with no glare. Then next time I set it up there would be glare even if I tried to recreate where I was. Could be user error, but I spent as much time moving it around the house as I did using it. I would have returned it, but missed the window. It does fold up nicely for storage and I will probably continue to try and use it and hopefully get lucky. Oddly I was the most successful in a hotel room on the 6th floor with the regular lamps in my room. Go figure.

Great way to save photos and get near perfect results

Watch out when you remove this from the case it comes in. It almost gave me a black eye because it suddenly bursts open and it’s big with hard rods in it! I’m small but it could even hurt a tall person! Since I wanted it for cutting glare to photos I’ve been trying to scan onto my iPhone, I tried it out but had to actually get inside of it with my iPhone to scan the photo. I was very disappointed because if anything, it added glare and didn’t cut the natural light the instructions recommend at all. Suffice to say, I’m returning it. Did I mention this tent is REALLY BIG??? So nope… it’s no help at all!
