The connectors are very tight, but not so tight that they scrape up the jacks. They fit very snugly and securely. The connector jackets are metal and they have a nice matte, kind of sandblasted feel to them. Both the connectors and the cable have nice tactile properties. Also, the UGREEN logo is only on one side of each jacket, so it's easy to tell what orientation the USB is in before plugging it in. That's a big plus for me as I always seem to guess wrong. So far I've used this cable to charge at four different currents (5V @ 1.0A, 5V @ 1.6A, 5V @ 2.0A, and 9V @ 1.6A) and it appears to work well with all four, charging faster with greater current instead of stepping it down to a lower current. It's certainly capable of modern high-speed charging. My only complaint is that the cable is a bit stiff and doesn't like to conform or twist very much, so if you have a device plugged in and move the cable too much it causes the microUSB end to apply a twisting force inside the device and I'm concerned it could lead to a loose connection over time. I have braided audio cables that don't exhibit this property, so it's not just because it's braided. It's a minor problem and doesn't affect the usability of the product at all if you leave the device still or don't move around too much.
