Creative Paperclay for Modeling, Clay molds and more LOVE IT!
Hi, this is the clay of choice for me. Soft, easy to use, if you re package it in between using it,, will not dry out. I am using for the IOD Prima molds and love the quality of this paper clay. I purposely left a small amount in a double bag, one zip lock inside a larger bag to see if it would dry out and it did not, just ensure you release all of the air out of the zip bag. Worked for me. I purchased two of these along with other paper clay products to try with my new molds, love love this one and will get again, so easy to use and mold into the delicate designs especially when using the Iron Orchid Design molds. I am utilizing these for little wooden boxes, furniture and more. I am showing some pictures, also with my reviews of the molds, to show you the quality of this paper clay. drying process, some still look damp, I may have used too much, still playing with it, so you can see how these pieces turn out. Most of the pictures are with this brand, if you see some thicker ones, my boo boo, I used another brand, that I did not like as much, but it still worked okay. This is fun, great for you and the kiddos, start something, a project, this will teach them patience, ha ha, ask me I know! Anyway I hope you found this review helpful, please ask any questions, I will answer all of them. I also read all of the reviews before I purchase, as I am on a really fixed income, so I appreciate those that take the time to speak their mind, give hints and tips and also recommend a product, here on Amazon, that they like love as well. Sure helps, so thank you guys and gals! Much appreciated by this lady! :) Thank you for reading my review, have fun with this clay! My fave! :) Kat

Great clay! Dont add too much water.
I've used this paper clay to make a mask before and came back to it because its never done me wrong! I bought a cheap blank mask and wrapped it in saran wrap to protect the surface for gluing later. This helps with removing the finished mask from the base with ease once it dries while still allowing a form to sculpt on. I had a damp paper towel covering my excess clay on the side so it wouldnt dry out while I was pulling from it. Id add a tiny bit of water on the tips of my fingers just to keep the mask moist as i was working on it - be careful not to add too much water or you'll be sculpting with clay the consistency of hummus. I used sanding sticks to deepen creases and add details once it was dry. Then id coat with multiple layers of Gesso (not Mod Podge) on both the front and back. Mod Podge cannot be sanded to smooth out imperfections (tends to gunk up instead of turning to dust) and acrylic paint does not bond as well to it as a primer so I wouldnt recommend it myself. I painted mine with regular acrylics then sprayed with acrylic sealer.

Easy to Use and Great Quality!
This clay was exactly what I needed—soft, easy to shape, and perfect for beginners. It was very easy to work with right out of the package and dried nicely with minimal cracking. The texture makes it great for detailed work or simple crafting projects. Highly recommend for anyone getting started with modeling clay or looking for a reliable air-dry option!

Quality — Worth the price
Love it. Smooth and holds shape — without taking on my fingerprints. I recommend purchasing sand paper to make the surface smoother once your clay sculpture has dried :) This is a photo of my heart mace — yet to be smoothed out !

Was it worth the wait?
This is one clay I hadn't tried yet. I'd heard a lot about it, it's one I've seen used a lot, but still not really reviewed much. It arrived in excellent condition. I could tell it was still malleable and moist. That matters. I've gotten overly dry clay before, and that's a nightmare to work with. This clay feels a bit more papery, if that makes any sense. More pulpy. I'm ok with that. After all, it IS a paper clay. It's nice to work with. It can be a little messy, but letting it sit out a bit can remedy that, or just adding some cornstarch to your hands is another option. I chose both. My molds are currently drying, so I can't speak yet to cracking. As of right now, on workability alone, I'd be happy to buy and use this clay again. Going by past experience with other clays similar to this one, I'm guessing minimal cracking, nothing that can't be handled with tiny amounts of slip in the end. But I need to say this: I had a choice of picking this up locally or getting it from Amazon. I chose Amazon. I have Prime ; save a couple dollars and only wait 2 days. It took 3 WEEKS to get this! I kept checking this item on here and it never stopped saying 2 Day Prime Delivery. I guess everyone else was getting that? Amazon, for shame! Lol. Please, just send it from whoever actually has it. Not a huge deal, but I needed to do a review on this and couldn't! THIS IS NOT THE NORM. It's happened a couple times. But by far never the norm.

Great clay for a good price!
I've never used paper clay before, so this was an experiment. It's definitely a learning curve from earth based clay, but it was pretty easy to get the hang of. I was using it to make 2x3 inch magnetic photo frames, so I was just rolling them into sheets and cutting out rectangles. Left if flat to dry and there was some warping, but that probably could've been avoided with with some kind of wire wrack or mesh stand that lets both sides dry evenly. It was more difficult to smooth out than earth clay, and liked to hold onto accidental marks, but all those buffed out with sandpaper once it was dry. Overall it was pretty good for the money, definitely lighter than earth based clay, which is the reason I tried it. Two thumbs up from me.

Good quality but somewhat tricky
I used this for a sculpture in my college art class. It dried very quickly and was fairly easy to work with. However, it became somewhat brittle and I had to use super glue for the more delicate parts of my piece. There were so many cracks that I had to patch, so make sure to save a little bit to use once it dries. I am so glad the package told me this! I got an A+ so thank you!
