This works GREAT. Sleepytime works great anyway, the "Extra" is even better to chill you out and cause that relaxed slumbering feeling. I've used now and then when wound up at night and put 2 tea bags in cup (ie double strength of Sleepytime EXTRA is pretty strong), steep and then drink down the cup's worth in a min or two and go to bed. It works pretty quickly to feel the relaxation. Also, in winter time drink when still warm/hot and it'll warm you up from the inside out. ALSO, a unique way to use this is to put a bag or two into your home made iced tea. It helps to lessen the buzzed caffeine effect. If you make iced tea with caffeine free tea bags this will cause a slightly relaxed feeling, not a sleepy feeling given it's only a couple bags in a half or whole gallon of tea. Keep in mind there are those who if you tell with debate you on it or not even drink it, but if it's used regularly in iced tea you or those who drink it will just feel more chilled out, no pun intended. ADDITIONALLY, for those who might have ANXIETY issues this works GREAT. Issue with bridges? Issues with flying? Use in the same iced tea manner described above OR you can steep 1, 2, 3 bags in a very hot cup of water for 5-10 minutes. Drink directly if you have high anxiety, it generally won't make you tired but more so level you off. I helped a friend once with this who had a big presentation at work in front of 75 coworkers and the boss. I said no coffee in the morning, then make a thermos of this Sleepytime with a couple bags in it. Don't start drinking until 1/2 to an hour before the presentation otherwise it will wear off by hour 2 or 3. Start sipping sometime within that hour every 5-10 min up until it's time to speak. My friend was ecstatic. He wasn't nervous at all and that made for a more relaxed, confident presentation. The calming effects negate the anxiety to a fairly normal level so you don't feel the surges of adrenaline and anxiety and also this will lessen the negative thinking that come with anxiety. It REALLY works for most people. Consider before a job interview, before a wedding, before a big talk with your partner/spouse, before talking to your kids/friend/employees/neighbors that you are mad at then you'll be more level and not as hyped on anger allowing a more thoughtful discussion/approach and not an emotionally reactive one, to take with you in a thermos as hot or iced tea if you have ANXIETY ATTACKS. If you have INSOMNIA then this may help mildly, esp to help you roll into sleep. For some insomniacs the hard part if getting to sleep. However some people wake up 2-4 hours later and lay there awake. For some I've said if you fall asleep just have this read in a thermos or by the microwave to use during that time you wake up. For me, I use a combo of things when I get that once or twice a month time when I'm laying there awake. I will use Sleepytime combined with 5mg Melatonin (Strawberry flavored dissolvable tabs I buy on Amazon), often in combo with Valerian Root (I find the best price is often a BIG bottle at Whole Foods, if not it's available everywhere esp online). Please BEWARE for those unfamiliar Valerian Root has a VERY distinct smell that many find nauseating. I kind of like it, but other recoil w/ that OMG look. So just swallow the pill(s) quickly. I use about 3. --- Sleepytime also has a version with Valerian Root in it and it doesn't smell --- . I also use a Benadryl or two to help. It's any combo of the above to help go to sleep. Sometimes all of them if it's me in my 2nd hour of not sleeping and maybe the Sleepytime or Melatonin by itself doesn't work. You'll have to experiment. For some they say Melatonin gives them vivid dreams that aren't comfortable, others have none of that it just helps them sleep. (Note: google Melatonin and jet lag for travelers). PLEASE NOTE: Some ppl have a slightly allergic response to the tea similar to hay fever, ie stuffiness, heavier breathing etc so if you have NEVER had this type of tea in any version then try it solo at home beforehand. Highly, HIGHLY recommend this. So much so I kept writing this review and am now going to be late for work. Guess I should have some Sleepytime to chill me out ;)

Does the tea ever really work? Well, when we first got the tea, we were having it every night. It worked for the first few nights, then not so much. Now we drink it about every third night and it seems to relax us enough for a better sleep. Not a solid 8 hours but more than we were getting. The flavor is a gentle mint chamomile drink. Worth the money you spend on it. Will buy it again.

I have battled insomnia for years. This tea has always worked for me, but I do use 2 bags when I make it. It does work.

El producto es muy bueno. Pero algunas de las cajas llegaron aplastadas.
