Crescent 25 Piece 3/8" Drive Pass-Thru X6 Standard Spline Mechanics Tool Set - CX6PT25

This Crescent 25 piece 3/8" Drive Pass-Thru socket set is just what I needed to complete a transmission fluid change (pan removal) on my vehicle. The low profile was perfect for the very confined space I had to work in. The 1/4" bit socket was perfect for holding a 1/4" T40 Torx bit and it got me out of a jam. I always wanted a pass-thru set and this one checked the boxes. Pleased with the quality, especially for the price point. The (black) finish seems nice. The description stated that it is "painted". It looks more like black chrome to me. Pleased with the purchase. A nice find.

This is a great set of sockets that allow you to use a the included socket wrench with very long bolts, a frequent need in my work. The only thing I don't like about the set is that the holders for the two different sets of sockets (metric and inches) barely hold the sockets so when I put them in a tool box, they fall out and get all mixed together. They are far easier to remove from the holders than those metal holders using spring steel but I prefer to keep them organized so would prefer a more firm holding mechanism for the loose sockets. But this is not a critique of the tool's functionality, which is excellent.

Have used this set on so many things. I never knew how handy a pass-thru would be until I got it. Durable and handy.

Great for tight spots. I use it to get an Allen wrench on top of struts and also have a ratchet. I like this tool

In my experience, this tool was very very hard to use. Great concept, flawed design. Essentially, when you would load the socket or adapter to the wrench the socket would get stuck. Only pounding it on the table would free the socket. (Yes, it was that bad, pliers wouldn't even work.) The internal tension ring appears to be of the incorrect size/application. Now, maybe it was a one off, but we found it highly disappointing. The spline sockets are of great quality but the wrench effectively made them useless. There are great pass through units on the market -- find what works best for you. You shouldn't have to fight a socket to take it off. It should come off relatively easily. It's worth mentioning, when I reached out to customer service to see if they had any tips or tricks for this unit, it took them almost two weeks to respond, but by then I had returned it. If you want a solid unit or a customer service team to respond in a timely manner, this unit may not be the option for you. Again, this is just my experience.

Wow, for the price I am amazed at the quality and finish of these tools, super good feel as well as being nice and heavy, they work great on bmw tie rods, and anything else that requires a through bolt.

Tut was es soll und sollte in jedem Werkzeugschrank liegen.Eine Halterung der Nüsse sollte allerdings standardmäßig dabei sein. Klare Kaufempfehlung.
