This product has a very good clamping power, and it held onto the hat securely. It also have little teeth that grips into the fabric of the hat. It’s made to hold a GoPro camera, but I was able to mount my phone as well. I really like the product because it gives the viewer a first person perspective Look to the video. The quality seem to be very good. It’s made out of hard plastic and has a very solid spring on the inside. It should last a very long time as long as you take care of it, and not step on it or break it.

Is this a good backpack mount for your GoPro? Yes, absolutely, it is. It is easy to adjust the angle, it has a strong spring, and you can swing the baseplate out to ensure you get a perfectly horizontal shot. But do you know where this thing REALLY excels? As a ball cap mount. I needed a mount for my camera that I could use with my blaze orange ball cap for upland game hunting, and this thing fit the bill (pun intended). Just mount the camera so that the objective lens is facing towards the wide end of the clip (where you press to open up the clip's jaws) and clip the sucker right on your hat bill. Instant POV camera that doesn't sit too high, while also keeping your hunting hat visible, not covered up by a typical headband-style mount. Thanks to my GoPro 11 Black's stabilization feature, the video is silky smooth, even if your hat wobbles a bit from the extra weight on the bill. I uploaded a picture with it set up this way for the visual learners amongst us.

This worked very well on my trip in the Baltic. It has a good grip to whatever you attach it to. The piece where the camera attaches to can be swiveled to make the camera level depending on what you attach it to. The reason for the 4 stars may seem odd when I explain it. But really the clip is 'super' strong and my opinion, maybe a little too strong. Maybe the spring will loosen with time and use. But right now, I either need to build up the strength in my fingers or use my entire hand to un-clip it. (I know, odd) But it will definitely hold on to whatever you attach it to, so I see the need for the strength. But in my opinion, it was just a tad bit too much. I would still buy it again if I needed to.

I purchased this mount for a purpose other than a backpack mount, so my review will be a bit different. Overall, I love this mount. It is lightweight yet not flimsy. It is actually really rugged. Everything is durable and tight. This clamp has a lot of clamping force, and it does take a bit of effort to open it (which is great)! I use it to mount to a visor, so I noticed that it doesn't open far, but it shouldn't, for what it was designed for. If you are clamping it to something thick, keep that in mind. It comes with everything you need to attach to your GoPro. This should be a staple in anyone's GoPro accessory bag.

This has been very versatile for mounting my GoPro camera. It works well for a backpack strap and I have been using it on the brim of a baseball style cap, just need to make sure the hat is tight on your head! I was pleased with the strength of the spring making for a very secure clamp. It is not going to fall off.

Amazing. Excellent and solid construction. The spring in the clip is strong...as others have mentioned. The connector fits all my current camera fitments. I also like the swivel feature. I think I need to get another.
