Does it take off the glue from wallpaper I mean the backing after u get the paper off??

It worked ok. But what really helped was using a steamer. I used a clothing steamer, but it was awkward reaching the upper part of the wall. If you have a lot of wallpaper to remove, I would invest in a wallpaper steamer.But pre-soaking the wallpaper backing with chomp did help.I had the same issue as you- the top layer of paper peeled off, but left the papery backing on the wall. Good luck!

Does this work on paper backed vinyl walpaper?

Yes, but be very patient. After applying the solution, I covered the walls with plastic garbage bags so the solution did not evaporate. After about 30 minutes, wallpaper came off pretty easily. Less than 30 minutes … ugh! Another tip...don't score the wallpaper other than lightly as this causes the paper to tear when peeling from wall.

So one gallon is 23 dollars and 2 is 130? How’s that work?

What happens if I spill this on my hardwood?

Hello, As CHOMP is a Wallpaper Stripper, it would be best to clean-up any Spills/Overlap as soon as possible (Cold water & microfiber towel in a 5 Gal Bucket.) If the Hardwood is Unfinished, consider Covering the surface(s) before Applying CHOMP. I had No problems as I spent alot of time Prepping All surfaces for Treatment. The result was Excellent.
