Volt seating from HON offers upscale style, full-scale comfort and impressive quality at a surprisingly affordable price. This task stool has generous seat and back cushions that are contoured for comfort. The task stool features smooth and pliable SofThread leather seating with tailored stitching detail for a sharp, professional look. It is ideal for sit-to-stand applications. Height-adjustable arms can be ordered separately. Lumbar Type: Mechanical, Lumbar Support: Yes, Back Width: 17 in. Seat: Seat Depth - Useable: 18 in, Seat Overall Depth: 20 in, Seat Width: 19 in, Arm Option: Armless Review: This is a serious office chair. When you sit on it, you just get the feeling that they wanted to build the best chair they could; it is engineering done properly. If you are looking for a chair with 24 different adjustments, you will likely not appreciate what this chair does offer; exceptional comfort and excellent build quality. I too was brainwashed into thinking I needed 3 different arm rest adjustments and tilt mechanisms, and was originally looking at those types of chairs for my home studio/office. Then I visited another Architectural firm that had a dozen of these chairs and tried one out. I purchased it the next day (as well as the regular height version). If you use your office chair a lot, need something that will be comfortable for hours on end, and need it to last for a long time, I doubt you will be disappointed with these chairs. Add a set of fancy casters like I also reviewed and you're good to go. One thing I should mention. If you run hot like I do, it may be worth looking at the fabric version of this chair. My regular height version is cloth, and I find it to be a little cooler for extended work sessions. I would recommend this, and will purchase again. Review: I'm a tall guy (6’2) and this stool is just perfect for the work desk I built myself, the table top is 34” high from the floor, this is pretty much the minimum height of desk I would recommend for this chair, any lower and you will probably be sitting to high even at the lowest position of the chair. This stool is a lot more comfortable than my previous IKEA task chair, even when they were brand new, the cushion are thick and firm. I changed the caster right away to protect my hardwood floor as they are not very good like the other reviewer said.

Expensive but worth every penny. This is not the typical cheap chair, HON is quality. Everything works as it should and the chair is made well and heavy unlike cheap chairs. I was hesitant to spend that much but I won't buy anything else.

Awesome chair. Very good height range.

First and foremost, this chair is great. It's comfortable and supportive. This is my second HON chair. They are good quality and value. The foam padding exceeded my expectations. It is way more supportive than my other HON chair, which has a mesh seat, not fabric/foam. The height is perfect for my standing desk (when I need to sit). I don't have any trouble with the foot ring as other reviews mention, but that may because I have the ring as low as possible, resting on the wheel base. But, there are a couple issues that prevented me from giving 5 stars. For one, the bullet points on this listing clearly state this chair is made in USA. The box I received very clearly says "made in China." The details section describes adjustable tilt and synchro tilt features. The chair I received has no such option. The description appears to be a generic copy/paste of all available options for the Volt line, not the exact model listed. Lastly, this chair may be a little too high for a regular desk height (or a convertible desk in sitting position). I figured the height adjustment would allow for both, but it's pretty tight. At it's lowest, the seat surface is 24in/60cm off the floor. My HON Prominent standard desk chair is 23in/58cm at it's highest. So, there is zero overlap and a 1" gap between the chair and stool models. The highest position puts the seat over 34in/86cm off the floor, which is too high for most standing desks. If you're looking for a chair that can convert between a typical desk and a standing desk height, this may not work for you. Also, buy the optional arms and the rollerblade wheels in the suggested items. HUGE difference and worth every penny.
