Perfect, very small day pack
This is a perfect pack for a short hike, day out at a fair, that kind of thing. It is very small - only 6L, which is about 3/4 the volume of a grocery store plastic bag. It is just big enough to hold my 24oz water bottle, a couple of ziploc bags of snacks, a rolled-up bucket hat, a small sunscreen and bug repellent, a pocket-sized pack of kleenex, hand sanitizer, wipes, chapstick, a card case-style wallet, and my keys (it has a key holder). It does not have a separate water bottle pocket, but it has a slip pocket and a zipper pocket in the main compartment and a smaller front compartment. So it won't do if you need to pack a big lunch or if you want to carry a sweatshirt or something, but it's perfect for just the basics for a few hours out. It's also comfortable to carry and the strap is very adjustable; it fits me comfortably as a medium-sized woman. I'm super happy with it and highly recommend it.

Lightweight and small but holds a lot
Great little bag. Pros: small, has 2 deep pockets, one with pockets. It's versatile, as I can wear it over my shoulder, in the front, and on my back. I prefer over my back and pushing it to the front when I need my wallet. Even though the zippers aren't just to one side, it is still easy to enter the bag and get the quick things I need, like my wallet, without having to take it off. It can hold a surprising amount of stuff: wallet, shopping bags, hiking first aid kit, 16 oz water bottle, emergency items (swiss army knife, whistles, fire starter, etc), my large stash of keys, my galaxy 23 ultra phone, small snacks, my kindle and Kobo libra 2, doggy bags, medication, gum, flashlight, and other assorted things. Even though it is loaded, it doesn't feel heavy when wearing it at all. I am very happy with this purchase. CONS: these are my own preference, not the fault of the bag as I saw what it was in the photos, so I didn't ding stars for it. The main strap, while comfortable, is a little thick and I wish it was a little thinner and smaller and extended a little further. I wish there was an additional small pocket in the front that wasn't so deep, to put small things that I need more frequently like my gum or medication. And maybe an easy way to hang or secure a small lightweight jacket. Other than this, the bag is perfect in every way and I am very pleased with this purchase.

Perfect Size! Great Quality.
I am going to Disney World and was looking for a smaller sling bag that held my phone & other items. This one was the perfect size. I like to use the front pocket for my phone (note: it is plenty big for larger phones + room for additional items with it). I appreciate the mesh zip inside with the hook for my keys. My water bottle fit in easily with plenty of space. I highly appreciate the ability to set your strap on the left or right side of the bag. Since I’ll be at Disney, I was happy to see there was a small strap at the top of my bag I could loop my Mickey ears lanyard onto (you can securely strap your ears so you don’t have to carry them or wear them all day). And if necessary (due to the unpredictable Florida rain) you can easily hide them away safely in the main section of the bag as well. Very satisfied. I look forward to using this bag on my trip. My only qualm is I wish the company produced a FULLY grey version of this bag. I’m sure my black bag will attract the heat. But I wanted a color to go with everything I wear, so black was the next best thing. And idk if I had seen a prototype or special beta test bag that was like a fully cool grey blue, but I would have loved to purchase that one if it were on the market. Just couldn’t find it anywhere but in pictures.

Cute but has flaws
I use this little Osprey bag often for day hikes. I think it’s really cute, a beautiful color, and it’s made of good quality materials so it’s held up really well in the time I’ve had it. The shoulder strap is really comfortable, I don’t even need to switch shoulders while using it for extended hours. That being said, I think there are a few missed opportunities and things I realize I would have liked in a day pack that don’t exist on this one. I’m not sure what the front mesh pocket is supposed to be for. The description made me think it would hold a phone, but I don’t know of any phone now-a-days that would actually fit in it. My iPhone 14 Pro certainly won’t. It’s too thin even for my set of keys. I use it instead to hold chapstick and a single tissue. Also, my 1.5L Camelbak fits great in the main compartment, however there isn’t any accessibility for the tube part that you drink from. So I have to keep the bag partially unzipped at the top to allow the tube to come out, and because there’s no way to clip it on or secure it to the strap, I tuck the drinking end into the mesh pocket, which it often flops out of. And lastly, I wish it had a small zippered compartment on the back where I could easily store my keys, or something small that I may need quick access to. Although the large compartment has a small zippered compartment inside, it becomes pretty unusable if I have my Camelbak in there, which takes up the entire small space. And all I’m left with is the small outer front zippered pocket, which is usually so packed with everything else I need, that my keys can easily slide to the bottom, meaning I have to remove everything bit by bit to search for them. I still like the bag, and I think it’s great for really simple hikes, but if you’re planning to bring a water bladder, this probably isn’t the bag for you.

Small and sturdy
This bag is small, but exactly the size I was looking for as a daily carry bag with basic essentials. It could work for a short hike (depending on your definition of "short") and would probably only hold about 2 water bottles and a small bag of trail mix. I didn't like the zipper location of the small outer compartment. Could probably be better if it was a double zipper like the larger compartment. All in all, good quality and would buy this brand again in the future.

Osprey Quality Build!
Perfect size sling for a quick, out the door go bag. Also, I use mine for bike rides, keeping a spare tube, tools and a tire inflator inside. Cell phone, wallet and any other items to keep out your pockets. Much better than a backpack that restricts air flow and cause, a sweaty back when you ride. Two features I did not find in other reviews where a chest strap quick release buckle (#5) and an excess strap keeper (#4)... both hidden from view. It took a couple of hours of swearing about NO strap keeper before I found it tucked up in the upper connection point. Well placed internal pockets and quality zippers found on all of Osprey"s packs! Could have used a vertical zippered pocket so when you bring the sling around for a quick item grab, you wouldn't be trying to keep the items from falling out of the other horizontal pockets that have now become vertical. Also lacks an external fleece lined pocket for sun/prescription glasses found on some other packs. The elastic pouch on the chest strap is kind of useless due to its size. Too small for glasses. Think chapstick or small sunscreen. I referenced a Mac Book Air for size, NO way would it fit. iPad or tab...??? Maybe. Overall I am pleased with the Osprey Daylite sling and would recommend to others looking for this size of pack.

Excellent.. Updated my way.
I bought another brand for $17.00. It worked very well with the interior pockets. It was the outside that I was not loving. It came to a point and that looks very feminine. The Osprey Daylight looks great from the outside and I really like this. I wish Osprey would do an update with the interior. Use heavier materials and add more pockets with zippers. After all this is a premium price and the $17.00 G4Free, really has the best interior. I can make due with this Osprey. The padding is comfortable on your sholder and back. One other issue. They have a little tiny strap at the top of the sholder harness, it is too small to use to carry the bag. Make that thicker and triple the length. I will have my shoemaker made modifications to this bag. Because of these short comings I'm going to have to spend another $45.00 to make the needed pockets and carry handle. What are these designers at Osprey thinkung when they design the bags. Sometimes one must use the carry feature if you hgave a weak back etc. The interior needs to be a more robust to accomidate heavier items. Over all this is a goodlooking unit and will function for nornal stuff. This morning I had the bag updated with a carry handle and Key chain hook. I may have a ohone net added. This should have been in the desigh from the start. $45.00 is alot for these items to be lacking.

I SO wanted to love this bag
It's the perfect color and great fabric. It also seemed like a great size. Nice pockets on the inside. Unfortunately, it just isn't really comfortable as a cross-body even switching the adjustable straps to carry on different sides. Can't carry it as just a shoulder bag because it slips off. That wouldn't be so bad but it's really hard to access the compartments when it's cross-body or on your shoulder. The most outside (smaller) compartment has only one zipper that pulls one way whereas the larger compartment has dual zippers so you can quickly open it. The smaller compartment which would be perfect for quick access is practically useless without dual zippers. Love the Osprey brand but really disappointed with this bag.

Comodo e con giusta capienza.
Monospalla di dimensione abbastanza generose per contenere portafoglio e smartphone. Ottimo da portare sul davanti per avere tutto sotto controllo nei locali affollati, in metropolitana o autobus. Leggero e nello stesso tempo molto robusto. Qualità di Osprey indiscussa.

Quality Sling Bag
This is basically a backpack with 1 strap, and It's small, but that was exactly the point. I wanted a daybag that could at least house the things I rarely leave home without, so keys, phone, sunglasses, wallet, and a the some room to spare for say a water bottle or even a rain jacket. It's there, and it even has different compartements for all those things. I also wanted something that is easily accessible without having to take it off. It can do that. By simply rotating it around your body to the front I almost never have to take it off to take something out or sit down in a chair or bench. And if I do have to take it off there is a clip on the strap you can unclip. As far as comfort goes, I barely notice it's there when i'm carrying it around over my shoulder and on my back. Then again, there generally isn't much weight to carry. Still, both the strap and the back side are well padded which feels comfortable enough when it is under load. The only con I would have here is that the bag tends to slide down to my lower back very easily which makes the pocket on the front of the strap sit on my shoulder and that can be annoying if you have your glasses or sunglasses tucked away in there. I tried adjusting the length of the sling strap and that helps a little, but make it to short and it will start to not feel as comfortable to wear anymore. All in all I am pretty happy with it. It was exactly the daybag I was looking for and the price wasn't too bad.

Ideal size, can for more than you might think tho! Great shape/design for wear either on your back or chest. Tough, durable, and typically Osprey :) love it! Quality: Typically Osprey, durable Lightweight: Perfect size and weight Use: Great for everyday use Value for money: Osprey costs a little more, but they’re worth it for practicality and durability ♥️

Awesome Compact Day Pack
This small 'backback' is great for keeping items safe from pickpockets (wearing to the front of the body). Terrific for small items where I don't need a fuller size backpack when out and about.
