We bought this seat for my father, who has a genetic condition that makes it difficult for him to get up from a standard-height chair. I should mention that this isn’t the first device of this kind we’ve purchased, but it’s definitely the most comfortable one. It has truly solved a major problem for us, and that’s why we now have several of them. The downside is that they can occasionally break, but I have to give credit to the manufacturer — they’re always willing to help and have even sent us a replacement seat when one stopped working. So I can wholeheartedly recommend this device to anyone facing a similar challenge.

My family bought this chair lift for our elderly mother who has difficulty standing up from a chair. Her ability to get up from a chair directly affects her ability to continue to live in her own home, so it was important that we find a solution. She has a large recliner lift chair in her living room, but we were not able to find a smaller chair appropriate for sitting at a kitchen table. The SitnStand Portable Smart Rising Seat was the answer to a prayer! It works beautifully on her kitchen chair and provides comfortable seating for extending periods of time (she spends hours each morning sitting at the table). The controls are easy for Mom to use, and she enjoys the independence it gives her. She has not been able to stand up from the kitchen table on her own for at least a year, but the the SitnStand, she rises with ease, safely and comfortably every time. We had one glitch with the unit, however, but it was resolved to our complete satisfaction. After working perfectly for about two weeks, it began to malfunction. The user manual's trouble shooting suggestion worked for a day or so, but then it would only inflate to one level. I contacted customer service immediately via email and received an quick response. The customer service rep. offered to send a new unit immediately--it arrived 3 days later. The new unit works flawlessly and Mom comments every day that she doesn't know what she'd do without it. Another plus is that if electric power should fail for any reason, the SitnStand can be moved to her living room recliner so that she can stand. The portability is a real plus. I cannot recommend this product enough. It is a fantastic product and fills a real need for elderly or disabled people. Thank you for inventing such a life-changing product.

Love the sitnstand works really well, the only problem has been getting the vat back, I filled out the for and sent it recorded delivery, about 2 weeks ago and haven’t even had a reply, (I’ve been disabled for over 30 years)

This device was so expensive, but it is worth it! My heavy, elderly father could no longer get out of his recliner chair, even with the power lift raising him. We put this on top of it, and he is now able to get up and down without help. One thing we learned quickly: he is not afraid if we inflate the device first, and then use the power lift (rather than the other way around). The battery is easy to remove and recharge, too.

Battery needs recharging every 10-14 days even if you are not using it! I use it as a cushion and do t need to inflate it all the time there is no off switch on the control so all thats draining the battery is the green flashing LED I have contacted the manufacturers for advice but they have not replied

Only had it for a few days now but so far it works perfectly and helps lift my father up from the sitting position without me having to hurt my back trying to lift him. I simply hold his hands for balance and gently pull him towards me once its fully inflated. My father weighs under 200 lbs. so I don't anticipate this thing to fail on me. The device is simple to operate with 4 levels of inflation/deflation. Each level lifts the person higher from their sitting position. The operation is a little slow but I think that is for the best. One thing to keep in mind is that there is no side support, so the person may tilt and fall sideways if they are unable to keep their balance. It is recommended to have someone nearby to assist with balance.
