Ed Emberley's Drawing Book of Faces (REPACKAGED)

I got this for my three year old even though it’s a little advanced for her because I grew up with these. She’s learning to draw faces so it has been perfect. We do it together and she loves it as a family activity. Easy to follow. A true classic.

I got these books for my two girls, age 6 and 4. They love to draw but had kind of hit a wall when it came to ideas, and so I bought this book to inspire them, and teach them. Within minutes, the four year old drew the blue cat face on the cover, and they were both taking turns browsing through this and another Ed Emberley book we purchased. This is worth the money, and I really like drawing the things in the book, too!

My eight year old grandson loves books by this artist. He loves art and uses the book often for his creations. Well done!

As the father of a four year old who is definitely beginning to want to express herself artistically, I am drawn to Ed Emberley's drawing techniques. We're still working on circles, triangles and rectangles, but the subject matter presented is good both for starting that process as well as getting my child to express her own emotions.

After having grown up myself, flipping thru the Ed Emberley books, I was really excited to introduce the series to my own children. The steps are straightforward and easy for small children to understand. Upon receiving the book, I chose a simple picture of a little girl with curly hair, from the first page, to draw for my daughter, so that she could understand the symbols and how they were added step by step to create the pictures. One example seemed to be all it took for my 5 year old to become hooked on this method of drawing! Riley and her "Faces" book have become practically inseparable, and I've noticed that all of her drawings now include the little details of realistic facial expressions. The grandparents love her homemade cards and the school teachers find her art skills "advanced" for a 5 year old. Its a great resource for non-artistic parents too, that want to add charming doodles to boring brown paper lunch bags, or thank you notes for friends. I can't wait to purchase more!

I purchased this for my Granddaughter who is 8 years old. I also purchased, "Make A World", and "Drawing Book Of Animals" for my other Grandchildren, 12 years old and 6 years old. They found them to be very fun and at the same time help their creativity and taught them some things that they found to be very exciting! All they needed was the book, a piece of paper, and a pencil. They were happy for at least an hour!! I highly recommend this book that will keep your child (or adult that always wanted to doodle!) occupied and at the same be so fun!!!

My grandkids and their friends love Ed Emberly’s books. They are very suitable for their ages and the instructions are very easy for them to understand.

I had these when I was a child and used them all the time. When I started teaching in the elementary school, I quickly sought out these books and bought them. My students absolutely love them! They are constantly wanting to get the books out to do art projects. I think that they are great tools to help kids learn shapes and to incorporate those shapes into drawings. I cannot recommend these highly enough!

One of the easiest and most fascinating ways to get kids to express creatively. And wonderful as a pre writing engagement!!

Tengo varios libros de la misma colección/autor y la verdad que son super divertidos. Nos ponemos con los niños (3 y 5 años) a hacer las caras que explican paso a paso y nos salen dibujos muy chulos. Muy recomendada

Unsere Tochter (10 Jahre) zeichnet gerne Männchen, Muster, Blumen und was ihr sonst noch so alles einfällt. Und das am Liebsten auf jedes Papier, das ihr bei Langeweile in die Finger kommt. Mit der "Anleitung" für Gesichter ist sie beschäftigt und jetzt werden ganze DIN A 4 Seiten damit gefüllt. Sie übernimmt die Vorschläge und kommt wirklich gut zurecht - ohne jede Hilfe unsererseits. Fazit: Vollkommener Spaßfaktor bei Langeweile mit tollen Ergebnissen, die sie stolz vorzeigt.
