Do you know how dark the chocolate is? Also wondering if the peppermint overwhelms the chocolate as it looks pretty thick...

It says the dark chocolate "cocoa solids" is 50% minimum. It shows peppermint filling is 40%. In my opinion the peppermint does NOT overwhelm the chocolate at all. The chocolate layer is pretty thick. We order this because my husband thinks this is the best combination of chocolate and mint available. I actually prefer less chocolate and more mint so I prefer York patties. The chocolate to mint ratio in the Ritter Sport is higher than York's.
