Original Tings, Crunchy Corn Sticks

My family are huge Tings fans. we first discovered them when my now 12 year old was a toddler with food allergies. They have very simple ingredients- corn meal, oil, salt and nutritional yeast. All 3 of my kids love them as do all the adults and friends on playdates too, my nieces and nephews even request I bring them to the UK for them when I visit!. A much healthier alternative to Cheetos. They are hard to find in the grocery store now so we get them from amazon. My one complaint is the Subscribe and Ship price has gone up hugely in the last couple of months- but I just saw that you can now get them through Prime Pantry much cheaper than S&S.

We just love the taste of Tings at our house! I can not have the MSG that many brands of flavored chips have, so when I found these I was over the moon and have gone through two cases of them already! The company website says they cannot guarantee that their suppliers of corn are completely GMO free. So, Tings are not organic or free from genetically modified corn which disappoints me. If Tings were GMO free I'd rate them even higher!Update: March 27, 2016Tings are now advertising that they are GMO free project verified! Woo hoo!BUT, the bags that I purchased at a Whole Foods grocery store now do not have nutritional yeast listed in the ingredients. Any die-hard Tings fan knows that this changes the taste. They are still delicious to me but the taste was not as I expected. Why oh why?

Good for what it is, but not very delicious. Utilitarian. Fills a hunger void. Tastes pleasant, but not great. I don't understand the bad reviews hammering it for not being more flavorful like cheese curls... what were people expecting from baked corn meal flavored with salt and yeast? Good snack anyway with reasonably good texture that is great for those intolerant of cheese, spice, or stronger flavors. To me these would be much improved with better flavors... perhaps add a few varieties that taste better and call this one "Corn Tings - Unflavored" or "Corn Tings - Original"? I'd buy other flavors with this texture and quality, but this one is just a bit too bland for me.Overall, does the job it was designed to do: healthy, light, and easy on the body.

We LOVED these in our house when they were sold in the local grocery store years ago. Then they became impossible to find except on Amazon. They changed the original recipe and now they are borderline inedible. We literally discarded the 11 unopened bags. If you are looking for something that tastes the way Tings USED to taste, try Popcorners sea salt flavor.

I guess they're ok. Its just hard to make something like this taste good. Good effort guys!

Tings are so delicious! About a year ago I decided to try and stick to a vegan diet as best I could, and 99% of the time I am very successful. However, I still get cravings for a few things, usually cheesy things. The first time I tried Tings a few weeks back, I was in love! The nutritional yeast makes them taste so cheesy and good, and as a salt-lover I appreciate their salty goodness. Now when I am feeling the need for something crunchy, cheesy and junky, I am very satisfied with these snacks. Plus, everyone I know loves them, vegan or not... they are a great party snack!

I have developed food allergies and one of the things I so missed was my corn snacks - -the one's with the mean kitty ads on TV. Then I stumble upon these YUMMY's! I was sent a sample and I was hooked. I now have them on my list for routine replenishment. They are perfect for anyone who cannot have soy, dairy or gluten in their diets. But be sure to only get the "Original" to be sure they are allergen free! All I can say (with my mouth full of this munch) is OMG!!!

So we’ve eaten about 7 bags now. I love these vegan Cheetos and I can’t find them in stores anymore. I don’t know why but the entire box of bags have had tiny tiny little chips. I recall all the bags I got in store had pieces similar to crunchy Cheetos. These were almost crumbs, less than an inch long each yet the diameter of a crunchy cheeto I believe. Not sure if it’s an amazon thing or a manufacture defect? Disappointed in the size but the taste was still amazing. As long as they keep manufacturing I’ll buy again eventually.
