Well-Built and awesome!
This micro key air is the best-built, feature-filled portable controller I've ever used! It's a little bigger than I was expecting, but the keys have good action, it's built solid, and the joystick is nicer than the one on my workstation! The main selling point for me was the Bluetooth capability. I needed a portable keyboard to use with my Korg Gadget software (running on my iPhone) and this pairs instantly and there's almost zero latency. Unexpectedly, the micro key air also comes with a usb cord and can be used as a portable keyboard for my laptop DAW. I'd definitely recommend this, and am considering buying a few more for Christmas gifts. Pros: Great responsive keys Well-built joystick More sturdy build than many other options Connects to Bluetooth quickly Can be used as a tethered usb controller Cons: Slightly bigger than expected; is an inch too wide for my laptop bag (when also carrying my laptop and charger).

Amazing little keyboard!!!
It’s perfect for travel, it’s very lightweight and fits perfectly in my backpack. I use it mostly to write scores on my iPad using Dórico. For that type of use, the two octave size is enough. If you want to use for recordings and want to play with both hands I suggest a larger version with 3 or 4 octaves. But if you are recording a single line with one hand and want something more portable it works great. The key size is small and narrow but it’s just wide enough to fit my big hands without pressing two notes at the same time. The weight of the keys is good. They don’t feel flimsy like other portable keyboards and are silent when pressed and released (unless of course you slam your fingers on them) but under normal circumstances they are silent. With the Bluetooth MIDI Connect app by Korg connecting the keyboard to my iPad and MacBook Pro is a breeze, just open the app turn on the micro key air and select it on the app. After you’ve done that the first time you don’t even have to open the app you just turn on the keyboard and automatically connects. You do have to download the app to connect it, because the midi keyboard won’t appear under the normal Bluetooth settings. In terms of latency, I haven’t noticed any. Considering the good build quality and portability, I find it to be a good value for the money and I highly recommend it.

Great feather light bluetooth battery powere keyboard with legitimately useful software.
For what it is, it’s really great. It’s unbelievably light, plastic but the main body of it still has a sturdy feel. Doesn’t feel hollow and there isn’t much “extra space”. You can tell they took time into trying to only give you what you need but in a good way. Design and aesthetics don’t have a wow factor but the thing has ble midi and can be battery powered so you can connect to your tablet or computer without wires! The speed and stability of the ble midi connection is indistinguishable from a wired connection *for the most part* (a few variables like devices around you tx/rx on the same spectrum causing interference, your computers drivers, batteries being low etc will affect your connection but these are things you’ll encounter maybe like 1 or 2 out of 20 uses) it’s quick to connect, shows up in your daw like any other controller and it just works: and well. Keys are short and super light so they take a bit to get used to (a few moments at most) it’s obviously not meant for any virtuoso players. Great midi keyboard that’s small, light as a feather, and Bluetooth compatible. And cheap enough to not be set back significantly if it’s damaged or something Software is amazing and actually is a generous offering. I love korg!

Good Keyboard, No Windows Bluetooth
The keyboard itself is great. The keys are smartly compressed to fit 3 octaves (37), and the touch is smooth and precise in registering velocity values. They are not weighted, which is preferable when programming midi (unlike when playing classical piano) - some confuse this for being cheap feeling, but its actually pretty good for non-weighted keys. The Big Problem is that the bluetooth driver is not compatible with current Windows 10/11 updates (instant disconnect, and a range of only a few inches on my two Windows PCs, while other bluetooth devices work fine). I tested on two different MicroKey Air 37s to confirm this. Windows does not include native midi-over-bluetooth support, and it is up to manufacturers to support it via custom drivers. Korg has not bothered to fix drivers when OS updates break them. On the MicroKey Air page, Korg states that the bluetooth driver is compatible with Windows 8.1 and above, but this is simply not the case (and is also problematic with Apple updates, as I have read). I would suggest getting the MicroKey2 instead of the Air - it's the exact same keyboard, but without bluetooth, and a lot cheaper. The reality is that midi bluetooth simply does not work reliably on any OS (for very long), and Korg does not seem to show the dedication required to maintain bluetooth driver compatibility in a timely fashion.

Keyboard decent, drivers are TERRIBAD
When this keyboard works, I am a very happy camper. I like the 61 key size, it is compatible with a variety of applications and has the pitch and mod wheels that let you customize the output sound. Also comes with the great M1 Le software as a free download. Why a lower score then? Well, this product from a software support perspective is untenable. The drivers do not work with Windows 10 out of the box as of writing (July 10, 2019) and require regestry entry, or a lot of un-installing and reinstalling. It took me 2 hours of my time on a Saturday to get Windows 10 to recognize the device and 2 hours on the following Sunday to get the Korg drivers installed through trial and error. Safe to say this is not reliable enough for a gig if you are a Windows user. I'm sure it works great on a $6,000 Intel i5 Mac! Not so much on Windows. So the keys feel somewhat cheapish, which I really don't care about because the wireless functionality should be the highlight of the device (microKeys, if you are not aware, are smaller and cheaper than regular keys, lol). However, to get the dang thing working properly takes a literal symphony of software all working in tandem. One program specifically configures the Midi setup of the device and nothing else. Installed separately is the USB driver. Separate from that is the Bluetooth Low-Energy driver. Not to mention, even after installing latest-n-greatest recommended software from Korg's website the thing still has minor connection issues and always shows up on the device list as "USB Descriptor Failed" on Windows. Annoying. Outside of that headache, it works fine when it works! After several extremely frustrating hours of setup (and surely, many more to come ;) ) the device is finally functioning properly. Where is the support for this product? Hello? Echo... Hope they fix the drivers. Until then, buy some other brand.

Fantastic.
I'm a professional piano player and generally use Nord Piano 2 ($4,900) in my music production. I was trying to find another great keyboard to be my master keyboard on the table, and for using it on my trips. Something with excellent velocity sensitivity, with great overall keyboard feeling. I've tried ALL MIDI-keyboards on the market: they all suck! All! Both for $300+ and $100. All of them have terrible velocity sensitivity. Many of them have too springy and sometimes too stiff keys, many of them are unbalanced. Even Roland A-49 surprised me in a bad way: keys were too stiff and too springy. Finally, I found Korg Microkey Air 61. And it's FANTASTIC. I'm getting pleasure almost as on my Nord Piano. Pros: - Excellent and fantastic velocity sensitivity - Excellent and just right weight of the keys: they suits for piano parts, for synths parts, for drums, for everything. They are really absolutely universal - Super compact size, but still highly playable - Lightweight - Traditional pitch-bend and modulation wheels - It has Bluetooth-connectivity - It has Korg Bundle Cons: - I tried to find them, but, I really can't find any I highly reccomend this keyboard for all who create music. For beginers and for pros. If you're looking for a great keyboard in compact size with best key action on the market — Korg Microkey is for you.

My favorite mini keyboard
So many things to love: PROS +Best keybed on any mini key controller hands down. Even better than many full size key midi controllers. The velocity, recoil, & feel of these keys are amazing, to be so small, I was so surprised. +has a sustain button - people buy mini keyboards to sacrifice playability for portability. If I'm carrying a controller this small, why would I want to carry a sustain pedal? All controllers this size should have a sustain button +arpeggiator - next best think to having pads with note repeat +bluetooth - if I left my cable, I could make due with wireless +usb port is USB-B rather than micro or mini usb +battery powered for wireless or passive usb hub CONS -joystick - I prefer pitch/mod wheels, but I like the size of the controller so I understand -no pads - also sacrificed for size -no transport buttons - please give me a transport across the top of the updated model I hated all the competition from Akai, novation, m-audio, etc. The only exception was the m32 by Native instruments (but this is still too big to fit in a normal size backpack)

installed and connected but never showed up as a midi device. AVOID
It might be the greatest portable keyboard known to man but I'd never know because it never connects in either wireless or usb mode. It powers on, pairing works, windows 10 detects it in device manager, but it never shows up as a midi device in any software. Korg's own midi utility? "not connected" Korg's own synthesizer applications like M1? "no midi device" Fruity loops? "midi devices is blank" You can install the ble driver, no difference. You can install the korg USB midi driver (why does it need a driver for something built into the OS for the last 10 years?) And then you have to also manually open start menu and select "install usb driver" a 2nd time for each device. But guess what? Doesn't make a difference. Still not detected in any software. So you hit google, and find a million useless pieces of advice like re-pair bluetooth, uninstall/reinstall the software, use loopmidi (which also does not fix this problem), edit your windows registry, delete the installed devices using korgs "remove midi device" link in start menu. I spent 2 hours trying all of these things. The fact that it can't even open a midi device in USB mode, even though windows detects the hardware, tells me this is a driver problem on korg's side. Windows installs the device, but korg does not register it as a windows midi device, therefor it never shows up anywhere. Save yourself a few hours of banging your head against the wall and buy something else.

Great keyboard, tiny keys, low-latency wireless. Play music anywhere with phone, tablet or laptop.
I bought the 49 key model and I was very surprised by the low latency (advertised 4-7ms) connection. Using an android phone with the ble-midi connection I was able to play to myself through headphones along with music on my entry level phone. It also came bundled with ~500$ worth of virtual instruments from Native Instruments and other popular brands. A license for Ableton Live Lite 12 is included for a DAW, as well as several mastering tools, 90s synths and the Korg M1 Le plugin. The smaller keys do take adjustment, sometimes feels a bit like a toy keyboard, but the velocity curve can be adjusted for more expressive playing. The action is piano like, but the small amount of travel and resistance can cause keys to accidentally trigger if my finger slides across it in a manner that wouldn't cause a sound on a fully weighted keyboard. I wanted to be able to play via portable speaker or headphones whereever I went and this keyboard works well for that. It can fit in a 3/4 guitar case and receives some support from the neck portion of the case. A feature that wasn't advertised is its automatic pedal polarity detection, just restart the device with a pedal plugged in and it will assume the current state is the off position. IMPORTANT NOTE FOR WINDOWS USERS: A windows update in January 2026 included changes to the midi system and the USB driver for this keyboard must NOT be used as it will break the midi system. It can update(despite a warning) without its dedicated driver and will work with the new default windows usb midi driver. A low latency ble-midi driver is provided that does still work.
