Crafters Workshop Template, 6 by 6-Inch, Art is

I LOVE Crafter's Workshop stencils. The quality is consistent and the designs are always cute. This one is no exception. I used the entire stencil on a couple of projects - and the projects turned out well. That said, I also like using just a portion of the stencil - using just part of the design can totally change the look. These work really well with spray inks, pens, acrylic paint, Gelatos/gel crayons, spackle, etc - just about any medium you can throw at them. Crafter's Workshop Templates are made from a translucent white mylar - so you can easily see where you are positioning the stencil on your project. (The importance of this cannot be underestimated once you've worked with stencils you can't see through.) Easily cleaned, nice weight, and durable. I love this design - and always return to Crafter's Workshop Templates. It's awesome that the designs TCW's offers are available in both their large (12"x12") and small (6"x6") sizes. They also have TONS of ideas on their site at [...]. Be careful - they are addictive!

I like to put words and phrases in my background when i paint. This is a wonderful stencil and is called "Art is" it is done in a very lovely script font and is a great addition to my stencil collection at fabulous price!

Exactly what I needed to add whimsy to the background of some of my abstracty type paintings. It is fun to play with too, and experiment. Try it on a piece of scrap paper first though, to see how to apply correctly. There is a bit of technique involved, which means don't overload your brush. It does not look like all of the letters are filled in, but when one removes the stencil they usually are, so be careful.

It appears as if everyone has this template. It is all over You Tube. But it is so pretty. I used this with the pearlescent embossing paste and it is just beautiful. On the word "beauty" at the end of a sentence, be very careful because it comes apart really easy there. Mine came apart and I didn't even use that end of it. Just be very careful with it.

I love text stamps, text paper, just about any text that can be used in crafting and whatnot. Like others have said, this is a very delicate stencil. It is not easy to clean, even if you're just using spray ink. If you're using permanent paint, soft gel medium, matte medium ect. You must clean it right away. Because it is so delicate, I use dish soap and the yellow side of a sponge to gently press through the stencil while holding it with my other hand or at the bottom of my (clean) sink. A lot of rinsing too. If you try to rub it with the green scrubby side, prepare to have to pick out pieces of the green scrubby and possibly take part(s) of the stencil with it. That being said, I do love the stencil, I just don't use it as often as I would like because when I'm on a roll, I don't want to stop what I'm doing to thoroughly clean a stencil (if I'm using Dylusions spray, I spray the hell out of it with water on an old t-shirt and blot it dry).

I used it in a metal file cabinet redesign and it was easy to use and turned out beautiful, see photos. Highly recommend it.

Great, I do mixed media art and it works great. Easy to use. I ruined my first one, got a tear in it and ordered a second one.

I love this stencil. I love what it says, I love how it looks when using modeling paste. I use it all the time. All I can say is, just be careful not to damage it when using it (true for all stencils), because this particular one has such details on the letters, that if you catch it the wrong way, it could ruin the portion you are using.

A good background stamp which is versatile. It has lots of different uses.
