HD6XX Open Back Professional Headphones - Black

These are incredible headphones. The overall sound profile is very accurate and easy to listen to, but some may complain that the Bass is lacking. They also have a smaller/more intimate sound stage, which some may not like, but they are very directionally accurate with solid separation. I think that they are fairly comfortable without my glasses, but WOULD NOT RECOMMEND with glasses, at least not with the stock pads. My wife doesn't wear glasses, and we are keeping this pair for her. I've heard that after market pads will fix the comfort with glasses, and I have no complaints for the sound. If you want something that sounds very similar with a more comfortable design, I really like the Sennheiser HD 490. They are a bit warmer (less flat/accurate for reproduction) with a wider sound stage and slightly better separation.

4/5 because I need to go into my sound settings and boost the bass by quite a bit just to get what I consider a good balance. Without any EQ they sound a bit empty. Even with a large bass boost the bass isn't that loud, but booming bass isn't what I'm after. Once dialed in the bass response is fantastic. I just wish it had more from the get go.

I can't believe some people say other headphones have a "flat response," I've never heard music like I have been since I got these. Unfortunately, it's ruined my experiences with other listening devices because I hear way more of the EQ in each one. That said, as a music producer, I'm confident now that any mix I do will translate well into other devices. I've been hearing detail and clarity like ever before--even in my normal day to day listening. That said, people might not like how flat these can sound (don't expect huge bass), but these are finally a pair I can say will let you listen to music "the way the artist/producer intended."

Beware, this product listing seems official, but it is actually a third party reseller, I had an issue with my headphones after three months, and I was refused warranty by both Sennheiser and Drop, so if you purchase these headphones you're on your own.

Love it! They are so comfy, and every time I share them with friends they comment on how great they feel. You can pretty easily hear the sound from the headphones if you aren’t wearing them, but that doesn’t bother me

After much back and forth, I landed on the HD 6XX for work and audiophile purposes. I am in ZERO way disappointed. I have listened to AirPod Pros, Sony WH1000XM5, Pro In ear monitors, etc.. These just blow them out of the water. So much clarity, and CLEAN bass (not wild muddy bass). I did pair them with an amp that supports up to 600ohms, so I think that really changed the game as well. They do work off of an Apple iPhone aux dongle with ease and clarity, but would recommend a cheap dedicated amp for some real fun and clarity. 10/10!

I got a used one for 130 bucks, and its better than all my old headphones/noise cancelling headphones, I have different generations of bose, apple, sony noise cancelling headphones, they are killing my ears because they emit some sort of low frequency noise to cancel outside noises, I had ear ringings for a long time until I had finally cure it with exercise and wear noise cancelling headphone on one side of my head. I found I can wear this new headphone for hours without damage my ears or my head, and sounds never so clear and real! I am impressed!

Compré con “CST Group” y recibí el modelo HD58X directo del almacén de Amazon, incluso venía etiquetado como los HD6XX, nada que ver un modelo con otro, los HD58X son un modelo mas económico y menos capaz, vease en massdrop, así que me da la impresión de que es su forma de estafar, inicié la devolución de inmediato y terminé consiguiendo los HD650 directo de Sennheiser que son lo mismo que este modelo, pero ligeramente mejor.

i already have a pair of HD600 and love the sound, but these are slightly more refined sounding, and seem to have better sound-staging. I bought these because I thought there was a problem with one of the hd600 drivers (turned out to be a problem with an equaliser device). I am overall happy with the purchase. If you have a pair of the HD600, and you are happy with them then stick with them, as they are a lovely sounding set of cans. If you were wondering which of the HD6 series to buy then I think the HD6XX are the sweet spot and a good balance of great sound and affordability. They probably compare to the HD650 in character more than the hd600.

I really wanted to love the Sennheiser HD6XX, but they just don’t live up to the hype. First off, they’re super uncomfortable. The clamping force is too tight, and the padding is so stiff that it doesn’t do much to help. As for the sound, there’s basically no bass. If you like your music to have any low-end punch, these will leave you sorely disappointed. The build quality is also shockingly bad for headphones at this price. They feel cheap and flimsy, like they’d snap if you weren’t careful. For something that’s marketed as “professional,” I expected way better. Honestly, for the cost, you can find way more comfortable, durable, and better-sounding headphones.
