Does the plastic, cabling and overall feel of the controllers feel "hefty" and durable?

I bought a total of 4 of these controllers and would buy them again. Hefty is debatable, however I would consider them durable. They work great for kids and adults alike. We've hooked these up to a retropie console and have spent many hours with them.

Does this work with streaming games online?

Can't see why it wouldn't, depending on the interface and so forth. Using mine for a local emulator which works well.

Can this be configured for a joystick directional input (ie, it acts as if you're using a joystick), or is it just the d-pad directional input?

Not sure what you're asking but it depends on the game. When you program whatever device you're using this for, you'll setup the controller and the D-Pad to be used as up, down, left and right. The game will recognize a diagonal input (ie, up and right pressed together) if that particular game has been coded to recognize it. A lot of retro games (Atari, legacy Nintendo) mostly won't recognize that type of move but newer games should.

Would this work with a snes classic console?

no i don' think it would since it connects via a usb port and from what i remember the snes classic console doesn't have one. I bought one to use on my laptop.

Works great on my Android Phone and Windows. You may have to reassign some inputs. Cords could be longer. On my Samsung S21+ you can plug both in with a USB C hub with HDMI out and play 2 player Bubble Bobble on any TV with HDMI input

After testing them intermittently over the last 2 month and a lot this week, those controller are very good and did not show any issue. Except not being in stock since I wanted to buy 2 more !

Relive Childhood Slower and With Fewer Blisters

I bought these SNES-style USB controllers expecting nostalgia—and boy, did they deliver. The moment I plugged them in, I was transported back to my living room in 1994, yelling at my sibling during Mario Kart. Except now, I’m yelling at my kid, which is what I call character development. The controllers look and feel just like the originals, minus the sticky buttons from spilled Kool-Aid. They work perfectly with modern games, which is wild because I’m pretty sure the SNES didn’t even have a USB port (shocking, I know). The D-pad is tight, the buttons are snappy, and the experience is pure retro joy. Honestly, they’re so good I might even let Player 2 win. Someday. Maybe. Five stars for resurrecting my childhood without making me blow into a cartridge.
