I'm a 115kg female hiker. I was looking for a pair of hiking poles that can take a significant portion of my weight (esp. going downhill) as well as aid with stability. I took these on a 4 day hike through a range of terrain from rocks/loamy soil to mud, slippery moss etc. Each day was 5+ hours with the longest being 9 hours. There were many parts of the track where these poles were essential for navigating some treacherous drops. They felt very sturdy under my weight & the shock absorption was good. The straps are comfortable & soft. I had the beginnings of blistering after a long day of downhill/bearing but the subsequent days this did not worsen. They're also pretty light and fold down easily for the parts of the track where I just needed to scramble. I gave it 4 stars since I can't possibly know the longevity of their quality until I've used them longer term.

A great sturdy product very easy to use and good locking mechanism, the hand grips are comfortable, not the lightest of products at around 250gms per pole but a good balance between performance and weight, I have no hesitation in recommending this product to the enthusiast, perhaps a bit pricey for the novice hiker/hill walker but that's for you to decide your budget personally I think these are good value

Poles are light, comfortable and easily collapsed. Broke a pole after a month's use trying to arrest a slip on icy ground. Clearly shear strength is compromised to minimise weight. Had to buy another pair as single poles don't seem to be available. Otherwise happy with my purchase.
