The combination of the USB interface and Studio one 3 (you get the latest version) is really good value. Studio one is particularly stand out. It is so intuitive, possibly because the last recording software I used was Cubasis and the way it works is similar. You gradually pick up the keyboard shortcuts when clicking mouse becomes a chore which speeds things. Routing channels to a bus is simple (never done it before) and sticking a limiter on the master out to stop clipping is drag and drop (like most things in Studio one). The one thing I can't find out how to do is to create a mixdown track when some of the tracks are external MIDI devices. Other software I've used has a 'record what you hear' which mixes inbound audio with outbound, but even googling hasn't helped. I've resorted to recording MIDI as audio and then using the mixdown option. I had to shield the audiobox from my WiFi router (which was only three feet away) as it was picking up interference. Apart from that (which wasn't the fault of the interface) it is flawless and the MIDI interface handles aftertouch from my keyboard (which a cheap MIDI cable interface crashed with). I have the audiobox connected to a small mixing desk so I don't have to do cable swapping to switch from keyboard to guitar and vocals etc. Also the controls of the audiobox never need to be touched as I do that with the mixer. The 'sound' of the interface is clear and pleasing. Nice bundle.

Works great with krk Rokit's. No problems personally , careful use will last this unit a long time. A buddies lost some contact on the volume swivel , though careful use will live these babies a good part of your life. I have used the PreSonus AudioBox USB for many small projects it is rather good for this price range and time equity. I have tried a few different microphones with this interface and none of them really out shined another one. The preamps in this mic are what concerned me the most because they seemed to be very noisy and they did color my sound. Now I didn’t expect to get studio quality with this interface but I didn’t expect to get a cleaner recording. This interface is built very well though and is made out of solid material and the knobs on the face of the unit are made well and not out of plastic and they will not break off or “stick” easily. This interface is only a 2 in and 2 out interface that has 2 preamps, 2 ¼ outputs, MIDI in and MIDI out and it comes with recording software (Studio One). It was very easy to set up, and working with it in Studio One was very simple and easy though I didn’t like that recording program much at the time because I felt like adding effects didn’t seem as fluid as they do in other DAW’s. This interface is very affordable though and will get the job done, you will get an “ok” quality recording with it in your home/bedroom but I wouldn’t take it any farther than that. It will get your Demo quality at best and depending on your skills as an engineer you will need to really use some EQ’ing techniques in your DAW and boost some of the high end frequencies and cut a lot of lows to get a cleaner sound out of it. But at this price point it would be great for a first time home musician.

For around a year, I'd been using Audacity for home music recording. It was very intuitive to learn and get some decent results from. The latest update though didn't seem to be backwardly compatible with my old recordings and, on the recommendation of a friend, I thought I'd check out PreSonus Studio One as a step up in home music production. Initially I got very poor results trying to configure the native Windows 11s audio and decided that I would invest in the Audiobox hardware at the currently advertised very reasonable price (Nb. the price on this page seems to vary from day to day, so make sure you order on a "good" day!). Well, let's be honest, Studio One is way more complex than Audacity and it's taken me a couple of days of tinkering and submitting two tickets to the PreSonus support guys to get myself up and running. Now that It's all working though, I have to say that I am truly impressed. There's no hum or other distortion on recording guitar, synth or vocals and no noticeable latency. The fairly steep learning curve is mitigated to a degree by a series of tutorial videos and the aforementioned support team, who replied to both my tickets within 24 hours. I'm running Studio One Professional on a 30 day trial, but the Audiobox comes with the Artist version of the app and a shedload of other software utilities, which I will spend many happy hours exploring. The build quality of the Audiobox is great - the metal case feels suitably robust and the rotary controls have a nice tactile feel to them. Oh and the Audiobox works beautifully with Audacity too, in case you find the Studio One software a bit OTT for your needs. Overall, for the modest purchase price, this is a superb product, which should meet the needs of anyone experimenting with music composition at home. Happy to recommend it as a 5 star product.

I use this on Windows 10 with absolutely no issues to record rap vocals. I am using it with the Reaper DAW. The headphones are great quality and the vocals come through very crisply on the mic. Simple plug and play product. Great for someone looking to start recording vocals over audio tracks. This set up would work really well for podcasters as well(2 mics or fewer)
